The little bungalows are a little dated, but very clean and they turn down every night. From our room we could atch the hippos grazing and one... More

One one my whole life best experiences was staying at Keekorok lodge. we stayed there for three nights and everything was absolutely great. the Hippo pool is wonderful, the rooms are beautifully decorated and amazingly we were told the there's no electric fence around the premises and that was why we saw several types of animals around the hotel -... We enjoyed our stay here thoroughly. The room and service was not quite as good as the other hotels we stayed in Kenya, but the Hippo bar and the location made up for it. The food quality in the restaurant is so so. Good enough. You have to remember- you're very isolated in the Masai Mara. The location is just... More

Landing in a small airstrip in the middle of nowehere is an experience by itself , being flown by a lady pilot is another - a trip to Masai Mara in Kenya is an experience of a lifetime . Cold towels by a Masai in the airtrip on arrival was a pleasant experience . Good functional rooms with right showers... More

I had been to Keekorok in 1997, finding the lodgings ancient, small, and with paper-thin walls so that even normal talking of people in the adjoining quarters was audible. It was therefore with some trepedation that I agreed to return. Much to my surprise and pleasure, I found the ancient wooden lodges replaced by substantial stone and concrete ones which... More

We were a group of 16 people. Everything at the lodge was decent except we found the food menu very limited and repetitive. Other than that, we had a good time.

I loved this place! the rooms were impeccable, the sites were beautiful and the staff was pleasant. The monkeys running around were hilarious entertainment! The game drives were always eventful, we were lucky to see many animals! 3 of the big 5 to be exact. The only down side was the food, the buffet wasn't all that but I lost... More
