It is for people who appreciate tranquility, nature, personal service and absolute privacy. Unwind and renew your spirit at the best escape from the world!
We got to Tijara after two weeks of safari, where we did not stop, and from the minute we arrived we just relaxed.. the staff are amazing, and nothing is too much trouble, the room was fabulous, the grounds amazing, and the pool spotless.. The food was incredible, I was so impressed with everything here.. brilliant place just to kick back and let the world do its thing.. we arrived back from here straight into lockdown in the U.K.. ther3 have been a lot of times that I wished we had never left Tijara..You must visit here, it is fabulous..

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Tijara Beach after some safaris in Kenya. This was the perfect place for us to go and just relax before heading back home. The staff was super friendly. Ian took us out snorkeling. We also went down to see a nearby cave that was amazing. We became pretty close friends with Shadrack. He is hilarious and very kind. Another thing that we need to mention is how AMAZING the food was! The chef is incredible! As if the views and resort weren’t good enough, it was the best food we had in Africa! We would definitely return

This is my 4th visit to this stunning hotel. The location is quite beautiful, set on a cliff overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean. The grounds are truly immaculate with a gentle walk down to a very private beach. With only 4 chalets, the rooms are very private, beautifully decorated and all have outstanding views. Larissa and Ian are the most perfect hosts and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. You could not find a more peaceful, private and relaxing hotel.

If you're feeling in desperate need of some RnR in a beautiful and peaceful setting, then Tijara is your place! This sophisticated private resort has been built to enable you to fully benefit from the natural beauty of the surrounding areas and Indian Ocean. The views from the rooms are delightful with great big decks and day beds which allow you to read and relax in your room, between meals and other activities on offer. The hosts, Ian and Larissa, provide you with just the right of attention; making sure that you have what you need, whilst also leaving you in peace to just enjoy the surroundings. A unique place to stay.

Being in the heart of Africa (Kigali Rwanda) I yearn for the smell of the ocean. The rising sun, full moon... watching the ships sail by. Tijara is all that. But it gets better. This is like staying at a rich friends private estate will all of his staff to attend you and your every need. Food is fabulous and cooked to your needs. Nice (reasonably priced) wine selection and a lot of time to just unwind. Bring a good book. Soak in the very warm private pool...Spend some time to get to know your mate and Tijara will be your jewel on the Indian Ocean forever.
