We were booked at this property as part of a river cruise tour. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was most attentive. An excellent example was opening the pool for a jet lagged guest at three in the morning and allowing guests to partake of the breakfast buffet before the appointed opening time. By the way, the buffet was beautiful... More

Who would have expected this kind of opulence in China after its recent history as a "People's Republic"? This 5 Star facility would feel at home in any of the world's major cities. The staff is extremely accommodating and well-versed in the expectations of the western traveler. The adjacent indoor shopping mall is useful, and a good place for a... More

Impeccable service and helpful staff. The staff are in general very attentive and it made our stay in BJ very pleasant. We stayed over Xmas break and we were given a nice xmas hamper and patisserie on our first night. We stayed for 5 nights and it is definitely worth getting a room with access to the club lounge especially... More

Stayed at this hotel in late April for the first time, my first trip to China. Magnificent charm and extremely opulent room, overlooking early morning Tai Chi in the gardens below. The manager, Tony, was attentive and handled a problem we had in a very professional manner. Not so good check-in representative, David. Would not answer questions directly, was vague,... More

Our introduction to Ritz Carlton was courtesy of our Viking River Cruise and we were very impressed. The room was large and impeccably appointed but it was the attentive staff at reception, the dining room and the bar that really made this a wonderful place to stay. Special mention must be made of the warmth and attention from Josephine one... More

After staying at the ritz Carlton Beijing the original ritz in Beijing I was spoilt by there superb service, the finacial street is also a stunning ritz Carlton but more stitched up for business travelers I adored the location close to tianamen square , temple of the sun, forbidden city etc a great streamlined hotel for business and quick fly... I stayed for 3 nights over a weekend before my husband continued on his business trip/meetings in Beijing. I was excited about staying at a Ritz Carlton property but was overall disappointed by this hotel. Space is of a constraint in the hotel's main areas such as the lobby, walkways and dining places - thankfully the room was of a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Viking tour. We took a taxi from the airport, costing ¥105, very reasonable. The room was great, large comfortable bed, big bathroom. Everything seemed very clean. We had breakfast every morning, very nice variety of fruits, Western selection (egg station, breads, bacon, sausages, pancakes...), Asian (congee, fried rice, noodles...) Great gym,... More

Stayed in a suite for 5 days in April after 4 days at the excellent Ritz Carlton Shanghai Pudong. The two hotels could not have been more different and I think I need to bring a sense of balance to all the good reviews this hotel has received. Here are my comments: Location is not great if you are visiting... More

The hotel is exceptionally good value for the quality of service that is offered. The whole experience - from the check in, dining and spa. Excellent. The hotel also offers airport transfer service that is not too expensive compared with other 5* hotels in Beijing or China. Worthy of note was the Club Lounge - the service here was fantastic...
