Location of the hotel is good in the heart of Wanchai, easy to get to the Metro and HK Convention Centre. They have a very nice lobby when I asked if they had WiFi was told no wifi. Asked again the next day if they have Wifi anywhere in the building, again was told no. Third day ventured to the... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and selected the hotel for location and price. Having lived in Hong Kong for many years I knew what to expect so was not really too disappointed. I had requested a double room but was told this was not available so was given a twin room. My room was small and looked in need... More

I have stayed at the Empire twice now, and taken friends there. Yes the rooms aren't massive, but this is Hong Kong and unless you pay top dollar you are not going to get a huge room. The hotel is in a great location. Just near an MTR station and on the tram line. Walking distance to ferry terminal and... More

Stayed for one night on business. Rooms were small and in poor condition, bathroom had clearly not been cleaned effectively for a long time. Whole room smelled slightly damp. I would never stay there again. More

Pros -Excellent location, in Wan Chai, close to MTR and shops -Modern hotel but room is a little tired -Upper floor room, quiet, with view of the harbour Cons -Small room, cramped hallway -Very expensive internet Despite it's flaws, it's good value considering its location. I would consider staying there again. More

This hotel has a good location, but absolutely nothing more. The rooms are very small, very old and theres a smell of mold. Bathrooms are uncleane and rather revolting. Aircondition only worked in 2 settings; off or extremely cold. And I almost forgot, the sound isolation is terrible, which is bad since the Hotel is located in a noise area.... More

Reception staff is friendly and efficient, rooms are small but comfortable. Downside: no closet and decent drawers, so you have to hang your clothes on a rack and cannot really unpack unless you want everything laying around on one tiny shelf. Bathroom is quite small, looking at is from a positive viewpoint would be to say that is very efficient.... More

We stayed at the Empire Wanchai during the rugby sevens and it was a MAJOR disappointment, we will definitely NOT stay there again. There is next to no chance of sleeping at this hotel, due to the noise from the bars directly below, there is NO double-glazing, the bars close at 4am and the punters start drifting away about 30...
