I would not make this hotel your first choice. The lobby was freezing cold, the breakfast was mediocre, and no one spoke English. Not that I should expect everyone to speak English, but someone at the front desk should be able to assist with room problems, etc. The two plusses were that one of the porters that helped with the... The room was clean and housekeeping services was good, but the management of the restaurant was horrible. I had the worst customer service experience ever so far in my life. The male manager and the BBQ cook’s attitude were awful and very unprofessional, they need to be re-trained. More

The rooms right above the cafe will be quite noisy starting at 6 in the morning, and you can even smell the fried eggs. Room is clean. More

Cons: This hotel is - surely - a high-quality Chinese hotel, but it is really too far from the city center of Lhasa. Moreover, most of the taxi drivers don't accept to take you there. One day, we asked 5 (!) taxi drivers to take us to the hotel, by showing them the hotel's business card (keep it with you,... More

Negatives ... 1) too far from everything...and difficult to get cabs. We couldn't get cabs into town in the am, and had to rely on public bus (a unique experience though). Also, we had trouble getting back to the hotel given the distance, and many taxi drivers are not familiar with the location. When we finally got one who is willing... More

My wife and I stayed at Jardin Secret Hotel for 3 nights after coming back from a 6 days round trip. Actually the hotel facilities are OK but apart from a very low cost-benefit ratio (restaurant and accommodation costs) the service (reception desk and restaurant) was pretty bad, and the hotel is far away from the city center. The hotel... More

I and my wife stayed Jardin Secret for 5 nights. It is a new hotel, which is very nicely planned. Living room and bathroom are very functional and clean. Rooms are equipped with wired Internet connection. There was supposed to be a bar in our room, but it was missing (not critical). We got 2 free bottles of water every... More

My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jardin Secret Hotel. This hotel was THE BEST hotel in Tibet - there was hot water, heating and a flushable toilet - all luxuries to Westerners...many other hotels lacked the necessities. The staff at the Jardin Secret Hotel were very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. We were... More

Stayed here for 4 nites as part of a package tour - we hit about 10 cities in China (including Tibet) and this hotel was the in the top 2 of our entire trip. It is easily the nicest hotel in Lhasa that we saw. Great rooms (almost like Mandalay in Vegas) and roomy and super nice and helpful staff.... More
