Centrally located near the facelifted Sarina shopping centre and close to national monument and metro access. The iconic hotel is undergoing a major phased renovation and uplifting of its facilities. The new look is nice and comfortable, however, not yet completed, which inconvenienced stay.

Recent upgrades to the rooms are up to usual Marriott Autograph standards and very good, but overall hotel still has some work to do to meet standards of Marriott group. Elevators were sometimes faulty, and lobby and surrounds, especially outlook from rooms are very run down. Service is less attentive than you'd expect from usual Marriott properties especially in lounge. They are in process of an upgrade so expect in 12 months from now it'll be back to normal.

Stayed here for one night as a Bonvoy Titanium and was accommodated in upgraded one bedroom suite. The Jakarta Suite was large and generously appointed, including with a small living room pantry. One could easily host a group in the sizable living room. The room had excellent views over downtown Jakarta. I had some air conditioning issues that the hotel solved promptly despite it being 1.30am. I did find the bathroom organization quite odd given a separate shower and sink/toilet with many doors in a small space, but this is likely given the suite's traditional design when the property was a Pan Pacific. I understand the Sari Pacific is upgrading its suites and themed suites to the refreshed design approach with an updated motif and I can't wait to see how these turn out on future stays. Pictures of the Grand Pacific are stunning. While the lobby was under renovation and warm, I look forward to seeing the new Sari Pacific and am pleased that the property is receiving investments to ensure it is a competitive product. Same convenient location with easy access to Sarinah.

On my maiden visit to Jakarta, my friend booked a room for me at this hotel. Although the location is not next to any of the large malls that is typical for locality it is still strategically located on the Thamrin stretch. Located next to the Iconic Sarinah (the first mall in Jakarta), this is not a new hotel. It is currently undergoing renovation to rejuvenate its feel - which is currently stuck in the 80s. We know some levels have already been updated but ours were still on the classic side. Having said that the room is by far still comfy even with the antique feel (which we know some do appreciate). Except for the TV, everything else we know will be updated. We have to road facing city view which is great and we get to see a lot. We had high tea and cocktail at the Pacific Lounge; Senja and Clara entertained our every whim and we appreciate it the max for our entire 3 day stay. Food is fantastic as I experienced Indonesian cuisine I never had before - both at the lounge and the Fiesta Cafe during brekkie. All of the hotel staff are superbly kind and helpful (a great similarity to Thai hospitality which my home country lacks except at certain hotels). Overall, it was a good stay and looking forward to come back when the hotel is fully renovated. Thank you!

I'm a Bonvoy Titanium Elite. That means I've stayed at least 75 nights a year in marriott group hotels. I stay not just in the nice ones like St Regis or Ritz Carlton but also in the 3-4 star ones like Courtyard and Four Points. The Sari Pacific is my worst experience ever in a Marriott hotel. And I don't say this lightly. Here's why: 1) the hotel is really old and poorly maintained. At many points in the hotel you can see water marks on ceilings, stains on sofas and seats. It's really gross. I was working out in the gym where I suddenly felt a tiny drop Of water. I looked up to see a hole in the ceiling with water dripping. I'm okay with old hotels. The prince Sakura in Tokyo for eg is really old but it's very well maintained. This one is so bad it's almost gross. They're renovating now so i managed to get a newly renovated room but even then the water heater knob is one of them that easily comes off. 2) the water heater broke down. On one night after I came back I had to have a cold shower and shivered in bed after 3) the wifi is really spotty that I just ended up using my phone data 4) I stayed for two nights and for both nights I was woken up early in the morning for nothing. The first morning a hotel staffer rang my doorbell to deliver something only to realise he got the wrong room. The second morning I was sleeping when my phone rang twice only to have nobody on the other side of the line when I picked up (both times) One positive thing is that the staff are all really friendly and seem eager to serve. Sadly the other stuff above really makes it the worst marriott chain hotel I have ever stayed in. Perhaps it's worth a try after the renovation but I'm so scarred I might not wanna give it another shot.

The room is very spacious (I stayed in the Pacific room) and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Because my stay was quite long, they even provided a Chromecast at my request, which I really appreciate. The cleaning service lady in my floor is amazing! So kind and thorough. However, I have huge disappointments: 1. I always had breakfast and dinner in the 18th floor lounge and the following things happened: - found hair in my omelette, which I immediately complained and the manager + the chef came to apologize. The chef, though, showed up in dirty chef uniform. The manager promised that they'll brief the whole staff, alas .., - found dark dirty wet spots under my hot water cup on another day, which I also complained about. - found dark dirty wet spots on the plate stacked to serve. At this point, I was like man, how do Marriott standards come to this? - on yet another day, found hair on the slices of chicken in the buffet. I warned the staff again, they said they'll fix it, 2. The manager came to my room to help bring 2 luggages and 1 big flower bouquet someone had sent me downstairs before check out. Guess what, they forgot to load the bouquet to the car so yeah another big disappointment. I am accustomed to the very high standard at Keraton at the Plaza (which was where I usually stay before they closed), I know it's quite impossible for other institutions to match it bit come on, Sari Pacific, hygiene is a standard matter. Attention to details is the core of hospitality business. That's it.

The first thing that impressed me the most was when I arrivedI at the lobby, I smelled a very soft air freshener, different, but felt familiar. This fragrance can also be smelled in the room. It seems like they use their own air freshener as a specific characteristic of this hotel. Very memorable! Eventho it’s still under renovation, I can still feel welcomed by the ambience and the staff. The staff is something else. They’re not only polite and friendly, but also warm and helpful. They remember our names and that’s something to be appreciated. They make it “personal” and words can’t describe how happy I am with the service. Kudos to Mas Susilo as the Breakfast BA on 10/10/2023. He offered us to try their special breakfast menu that day; where I told him my name and he remembered! That was so sweet. Also he was very knowledgeable about the menus and the hotel history and plan. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe room on the 7th floor. A new renovated room with a luxurious modern design. The rooms are not only spacious and clean, but complete in-room amenities are provided - toiletries, personal care, robes and sandals, coffee maker, mini bar with 4 mineral bottles, deposit box and a mini fridge. Worry not about the electric socket, the room has USB and inductive charging station. Also the Type-G power plugs. They provided various tv channels (local and international channels) and we can watch it all (iykyk✌🏼), WiFi works good for me The Breakfast also excellent!! From local food to western and Japanese food - everything was just perfect! We also tried their Afternoon Tea at the Pacific lounge and it was great 👍🏼 love the ambience and the privacy, love the pastries, cakes, and the meatball!
