I have stayed here many times the last 10 years. It is a good location,convenient to convention center,shopping malls and restaurants. The club floor and staff are outstanding.the rooms are old but well maintained, the gym is good and the many restaurants in the hotel and room service is excellent.

Stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Sultan and was disappointed with the service. I was booked in Executive so there was dedicated check-in at top floor but I been informed when my turn came for check-in at gr floor. This is the coolest hotel I've ever stayed at. What more can you ask for? 5 or so restaurants/bars (Western, Indonesian, Coffee Shop, Jazz Bar, Airman Bar, etc....). Top notch Live music in 5 or so different places in the hotel every night, including a gamelan orchestra!! (The music in the Airman Bar and the Jazz bar were honestly outstanding.)... More

I thought this hotel was ok, just an old prestige hotel a little past its prime. But everything was clean, it worked and staff were pretty good. This is a good hotel if you have business going on in the central. Not a good place for tourist as all the tourist places are far away! Room are as old as the city...... Wifi is acceptable due to the weak signal strenght..... Food a no no.....

Good location, but needs a full over haul. I asked for a non smoking room, I did not get it. Electrical connections are open on the night table, very dangerous.
