Warwick Purser has created a magical spot in Tembi. The hotel itself is tropical perfection. Beautiful rooms, outdoor bathrooms with all of the magic and enough shelter if it rains, welcoming places to read or loiter, enough pools that yours always feels private, even when you share. The gardens are lush and inviting, with a peacock to greet you by... More

A stunning spot with fantastic Indonesian aesthetics. My travel companion and I barely left the place apart from a bike ride around the surrounding kampung and a trip into town for a trip to get amongst the stinky and crazy markets. This place is genuine, peaceful, immaculately appointed and so welcoming...and you can still order a poolside margarita. If you... More

We stayed here a week, sorely needing peace and de-stress from a busy worklife in Hong Kong. We found it in measures completely unexpected. This hotel is not for everyone. If you are looking for the 5 or 6 star bland luxury of an international resort which could be anywhere, D'Omah will not provide what you seek. If, however, you... More

Yogyakarta is known as the centre of art and culture in Java. We found all of it in a single place, wrapped in a package called Hotel d'omah run but a man called Warrick Purser. Not enough can be said about this garden of Eden and we agree with previous positive reviews. With Warricks personal touch we believe this hotel is... More

We were staying at Yogja, Malioboro area. We didn't like it there and was looking for a better place. After reading the review, we though of trying D'Omah for a day. We ended up staying for all the last four days of our vacation. This was suppose to be a vacation. We are closed to fifties and our kid is... More

I was staying here during weekend. Located quite far from the airport and the city, D'Omah Yogya offers sanctuary for perfect precious personal time. The property is built in the quiet village of Tembi in the southern part of Yogya city. It was brilliantly designed to blend perfectly with the surroundings where you can breeze and feel the REAL javanese... More

Just thinking about this beautiful boutique D’Omah in Yogya, sitting snug in a creative artsy village, nestled opposite a serenely beautiful rice paddy, makes me swoon! Really to stay here and meet the incredible staff, dine on excellently well cooked traditional foods, to hang out and play chess among gorgeous antiques and enjoy great design and paintings would be enough... We went with the whole family (my parents, brothers, kids and baby sitters) and rent one of the villas, 4 bedrooms with a pool. Very nice old Java house, with massive rooms. The style may not be for everybody, but when in Jogja, you should spend holiday Javanese style! The location is a bit far from the center, as villas... More

The hotel truly gives you a special experience while you are in Yogyakarta. You live in a traditional local house with a nice interior. Service was great, they didn't bug you much but without forgetting to give you attentions. The room, we got a deluxe room at Rumah Demang. Rumah Demang has 4 big bedrooms. We share the living room... Our family (2 children, parents, grandparents) stayed here for a week in January. D'Omah has a special ambience and effortless style - the type of place you dream of finding, if like us you get tired of the big 5 star chain hotels. The staff at the hotel were gracious and always helpful, the accommodation comfortable and unique in it's... More
