This hotel is on the Besemah Highlands of South Sumatra. The highlands themselves are beautiful and well worth the effort it takes to visit them. However, accommodation and food options are very limited. The most popular guidebook to Indonesia recommends the Hotel Mirasa as the best option and I guess it did beat sleeping rough in a paddock.
