It's not easy to find a decent Hotel in Singapore if you don't want to pay 200 $ or more. The Perak definitely exceeded my expectations. It's a nice old building in a good location and the rooms were of a decent size but not really big. There is a fridge, TV and coffee making facilities in the room. But... More

Staff very helpful, well run and efficient. Rooms are small but you are made aware of this when booking. There was a lot of noise from neighbours on one night until 3am. Not the Hotels fault but it may be a regular problem.Breakfast more than adequate and again efficient service. Well placed for MRT and of course right in the... More

We stayed in a double room for over a week. It was small, but very comfortable and clean. Tiny, but functional bathroom. The airconditioner was nice and chilly, but dripped on the floor a little bit. Having a fast ethernet connection was a great free bonus. So, too, a little mini fridge. TV worked well, but only about 6 stations and... More

We stayed at the Perak Hotel for a couple of nights, chiefly because we expected value for money in what is obviously an expensive city-state. I would say we came back with mixed feelings. The location and staff (very friendly) are great, and there is a cosy feel to it. Yet, the room was small, washroom smaller, and we had... More

A big disappoinment..We booked 2 rooms thru booking.com with my sister credit card and it didn't stated any where that you need to bring the credit card holder along during checking in. Had to argue with receptionist who told us a its a hotel policy.. Rooms were small and clean. Although we had left over toiletries from previous occupant in... More

The Perak is in Little India, loads of atmosphere around and only a short distance to Bugis markets or the MRT which will take you anywhere you want to go. Let's be honest, this is definitely NOT a luxury hotel and at $150 (Australian) a night, is exxy for what you get. The rooms are TINY, as are the en-suites,... More

Stayed in room 208. Shower was on top of the sink.. Found a cockroach on bed head and due to the wooden floor some entering his room anywhere in the hotel will wake you up. Forgot to mention no window in the room. To be avoided at all cost. More

First time we stayed here one night in October, booked a standard room, got upgraded to a superior, loved it! Great room, great service. A month later we booked another night at Perak hotel, they only had a deluxe room, but we were confident that it would be well worth the money. We arrived after midnight and received a noisy... More

This was our first visit to Singapore, and I initially found the choice of hotels confusing. This one is in the medium price range, I booked with Agoda for around £ 70 per night. In hindsight I would have preferred not to stay in Little India, however once you get the hang of the MRT, your location is less important.... More

We stayed here for 3 days while we visited Singapore, en route to Bali. The hotel is located in Little India, about 20+/- minutes from the airport ($30 cab ride). The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and nice. They spoke good English. The subway/metro stop was about 5 minutes away. We had three people in our... More
