Stayed two weeks at the Pucon Kayak Hostel while travelling in Chile. Great place to stay and relaxing accomodations close to the cool town of Pucon. Excellent place to stay for those looking for nice place to stay near lots of outdoor recreational activities. The Trancura river running right by it was a super bonus. The gear we rented was... Shawn, Thank you for posting your testimony. It was a pleasure to hang out with you, Harry, Naomi and Brad. And super cool to see all you guys hiking the volcano, getting on the rivers, and just enjoying Pucon. I hope to see you back soon. Best from Pucon. David More

This Hostel is "A MUST" for any traveler in the Pucon area. The soothing Trancura River sounds ignite a love for the phenomenal nature found in Southern Chile. A Perfect view of the Volcano lies at it's doorsteps. White Sand beaches, awesome day hikes, warm springs, out-of-sight dance parties, and of course: World Class Rivers are short bus/ car ride... Stacy you get our award this season for best non-kayaker learning. You took on everything Pucon had to offer: the beaches, the hikes, discos and dancing, Standup Paddle Boarding, the hotsprings, and even learning to kayak. We especially enjoyed your energy in the quincho with the group game Farkle. We'll keep the fire going for you. Warmest from Pucon. David More

Myself and three others spent two weeks at the Pucon Kayak Hostel and had an amazing time. Chile is a beautiful country and the kayak hostel made for a great base camp. It is located just outside the popular town of Pucon which made it relaxing and peaceful, but was a short 10 min bus ride into town when we... More

Safely out of town, Pucon Kayak Hostel is the perfect spot for kayakers to meet, book shuttles, paddle, play games and party a bit no matter where they are from. The rooms are fine, rates are good, but river-side SAFE lodging and gear storage really sets this one apart. Plus the meal plan... just makes it too easy to meet... More

My husband and I were looking for something away from the bustle of Pucon, something beautiful, something relaxing and inviting. This hostel has a unique inviting feel. First, there’s lots of space and it’s next to the Rio Trancura. That alone seems to soothe the soul. Second, the hostel built a one of a kind quincho designed for daily meals... More

We stayed with David a few months ago and it was a highlight of our 2 month trip in Chile. We aren't kayakers but felt very welcome here and David's hospitality was never exhausted and he often included us on day trips when they weren't on the river. The meals were home cooked and excellent, the quincho with fire at... More

Pucon Kayak Hostel was one of the best parts of our trip. Beautiful location right on the river, fresh breakfasts, friendly guests and clean rooms all added up to a great stay. The proprietor, Dave, had a ton of kayaks to choose from and even guided us for a couple of days. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone... More

Pucon Kayak Hostel had it all. From cheap gear rentals, quincho for relaxing, hot meals twice a day, and a price that is unbeatable. The location on the Trancura River is spectacular! Although it has "Kayak" in the name, this hostel is not just for thrill seekers. The staff and facilities are set up for any traveler venturing to Pucon... More
