This is our second time at Casa Bambu. It is nicely located midway between the old town and the "new town". You can easily walk to either in 15 minutes. Not a lot of action close by but that's OK for us. They have 2 large kitchens and a super nice rooftop terrace with awesome views of Quito. Decent wi-fi,... More

I stayed a couple of nights here, and it was so nice. It was easy access from most touristic places. I had no problem during my stay in Quito regarding this. Also, this hotel was totally good secured and well cleaned. Though I stayed in a private room with shared bathroom, I had no bad point on that. Normally I... More

A backpacker's paradise that is away from the noise of the city. The only problem is that's it's kind of far from most restaurants and supermarkets (only a few mini marts near by) but it's a fun place to hang out at and the staff is very friendly. Taxis' always have a hard time finding it so make sure you... More

All together we stayed three weeks in three different times. This is a 90% hard core youth hostel, but occasionally there are older folks like us who were drawn to it for the 180 degrees view of Quito from its terrace. The rooms were okay, but a couple of the "deep" rooms I looked at where air didn't circulate as... More

Two guest kitchen, computer room(no need to visit those internet cafes), a superb view at 7 $ for dorm or 15 for double room(both with shared bathroom) is great. Also a rather calm hostal in comparison to the two in which I stayed in Mariscal

This hostel was very organized. You can tell that someone who backpacked owns this hostel. Everything is well thought out and quiet comfortable. It's also very clean. The staff was extremely helpful too. We really did like it and would recommend it. We only had one issue and it wasn't even with the hostel. It was with a man from... More

Casa Bambu has one of the nicest and organized hostel kitchens I've seen, with assigned spaces in the cupboards and shelves in the refrigerators, of which there are 3 (or 4?). There are also 2 kitchens! one on the first floor and one on the second, and plenty of cooking gear. Yes, I'm kinda obsessed with kitchens in hostels, having... More

The steep climb is rewarded by the laid back atmosphere, nice breakfast choice and view from the terrace. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and spaks reasonable english. Good position for the 'new' city with nice restaurants at 10-minute-walk radius, transport connection is ok but taxis are the best option after dark.

We stayed here three times while traveling over Ecuador. The first time we had a room upstairs - nice and spacious with a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom on the floor was kept clean and the kitchen is the best. Each room has a designated shelf in the fridge as well as a lockers for food storage. Never had seen... More

casa bambu - clean, comfortable with great facilities; 2 kitchens, 4 computers, pool table, pingpong and a terrace with a beautiful view over quito. the only problem is the hill to get to the hostel, but at least it's good exercise :-)
