We spent there two nights and it was a good experience. Our room was well isolated, clean and very confortable. The bed was very very good and the bathroom very clean as well. This budget place worth it. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you are willing to pay extra 3 dollars you can have there a very nice...

I (Thomas) stayed in Auberge Inn in February 2011 several times and was really happy with the service, clean rooms and a beautiful Swiss bistro.
Seen that, I booked in at Auberge Inn for this year several times, too.
Unfortunately services and quality seem seriously to diminish :

The room and bath were attractive if a bit cold. The guidebook says there is a sauna which is no longer true. Great internet with headsets for skype, though it is a separate charge. Lovely garden to sit in. We picked this place to see a different part of Quito from the Mariscal. Unfortunately when we arrived we found no...

This hostal defintely was not one the best on our trip. Service was ok, but often they did not really try to understand our attempts to explain things in our mediocre Spanish.
The room was good enough and cleaned every day.
The area is a bit dogy, especially on Sundays when really everthing is closed and it is not safe...

It is very clean, with great esthetics. Service is wanting. Staff seems uninterested in helping you and there is limited (at best) English spoken. But the beds were nice with comfy comforters. Breakfast was good. There is a store and two inexpensive eateries near by if you are tring to watch costs. Take a taxi from the airport as there...

I have held back reviewing places in South America until I have travelled for several months (inculding 6 weeks in Ecuador) in order to, hopefully, give a fair review, in the context of the city, culture, price etc.
L'Auberge is a average hostel for the money and like all hostels in South America, you can't expect too much in the...

its ok here, but you have to pay for everything extra, internet, breakfast, even for a map of the city..
