Termas de Papallacta offered a secluded place to rest and treat oneself. Enjoyed the warm pools right outside the cabañas and spa treatments. The service was excellent. The weather was cold and damp though making it difficult to stay warm. The cabañas were specious but cold, the wood burning fireplace run all the time. The circuit breakers jumped often when... More

This was a stop on a Gate 1 trip and my thought the next morning was that I wished it was a longer stay. My room was steps from 3 pools: hot, hotter and polar bear worthy. It was great to step out of my room and sink into that hot water. The high elevation makes it chilly at night... More

Our Quito hotel arranged for comfy mini van and all day driver for three of us. More expensive than other forms of transport, but we're glad we did it. We paid extra for entrance to the spa area pools, but did not stay overnight. 2 of us got massages and all three had lunch. We loved it - the setting... More

This hotel has hot springs outside your door to your unit. The decor inside the hotel is fabulous. The location is great. Nearby is a hike to the waterfalls and backpacking island which is fun. Highly recommend. More

The place was just beautiful. Just imagine hot springs on the cold Andes Mountains. Nice cabins, good service and beautifully design areas. All the cabins where placed around the hot springs, making them easily accessible and more private. The spa was great and they really try to pamper you. I am looking forward to go back. More

Went there for overnight stay and thermal baths with family of 7. Cabins were basic but adequate. Thermal baths outside our door were wonderful. Stayed away from public pools which were teeming with people. Took advantage of massages wich were wonderful More

Stayed here as part of the gate 1 travel Ecuador & The Amazon package for one night. Hotel "rooms" are individual cabins spread out around the property with thermal hot spring baths right outside your front door. Accommodations are basic but clean and comfortable. The cabin we stayed in was set up for 3 or 4 people with a bunk... More

My husband and I drove here from Quito - about 1.5 hours drive - for 2 nights. The rooms are very basic and the restaurant food was pretty average but the redeeming feature is the hot pools right outside your door. It is also located in beautiful country side and we went for a lovely afternoon walk in the surrounding... More

We stayed here during a Gate1travel 8 day tour of Ecuador. First of all, you would probably not find this place on your own. It is isolated and on a rather poor road. Once you arrive, you would be impressed. Very friendly staff, nice accommodations, and the highlight are the hot springs by your room. These are actually shallow pools... More

This faculty was included as part of an 8 day tour of Ecuador. The public areas of the resort are nicely appointed and the exteriors are rustic but well maintained. Eco-friendly roofs (living roofs) were a nice addition to the landscaping which was pretty. The cabin-like rooms were just average - no complaints, but nothing special. What makes Termes de... More
