My husband and I were there in our twenties in 1988. We still think it is one of the most romantic hotels we stayed in. The Misti mountain was breathtaking and the beautiful gardens too. The room had bay windows that added to the charm of the place.

Rooms are small but adequate; bedding is super; bathrooms tiny. The staff is very helpful and the ground are totally charming...peacocks, alpacas and beautiful flowers. Great complimentary pisco sours upon arrival. Breakfast was nice in that you order off the menu rather than buffet, quality so/so, but beautiful setting outdoors view of the river and Misti volcano behind. Llamas and peacocks roaming the grounds, unusual setting. Room was perfectly adequate, nice private entrance out to the grounds, but decor was decidedly dated.
