This is one of my favourite places in all of Peru. You exit the highway and drive down a dirt road to a hotel in a very small bay. You may not even notice the Inca ruins as you enter. You'll find a simple but clean hotel. It has excellent views, a nice open-air restaurant and pool. It's about this... More

We were in a group of 10 travelling around Peru and Intrepid put us here for 1 night. You have no alternative to eating in this "hotel" and it was ordinary, but with no ill effects as reported by others. The local ruins are interesting and the beach setting is good, although nothing spectacular. On face value this could well be... More

I spent three weeks in Peru and traveled part of the time with a group. I think we stayed here because there wasn't anywhere else to stay in the area, but it was terrible. Our tour group were the only people staying there, and apparently, we were a mighty inconvenience to the staff. My room mate and I (two women)... More

My girlfriend and I hit the road for a 2 day getaway after we heard a few positive comments of friends and the really good pictures online. Since most beaches on Peru's Pacific Coast are similar, we were hoping for something really spectacular after all that hype. We were also hoping for amazing facilities. But none of these were worth... More

This hidden gem of a hotel is right on the beach at Puerto Inca and unless you have heard of this area you wouldn't know it existed. There's only the hotel here after a 10 minute drive from the main road. The hotel features a nice swimming pool, hammocks, outdoor gym area and an open-air (but covered) restaurant. Staff here... My friend and I stayed here one night as part of our GAP Adventures tour in November last year. There is literally nowhere else to stay if you're making the long drive from Paracas to Arequipa, so just be glad it's here. The best I can do is help you prepare for your stay here, so my advice to you... More

We stopped here for the night on our drive from Paracas to Arequipa, and were glad that we did, because that turned out to be too long of a drive for one day (with kids in the car). We were the only guests, no tour buses that day, and had a great afternoon and early morning looking at the inca... More

My GAP tour stoped here for a night during my Peru vacation last year. The location of this hotel is wonderful. It overlooks a beach and there are trails that take you to Inca ruins and beautiful coastal scenery. Keep in mind that some of the trails are pretty rugged and some of the ruins are tomb, with bones still... More

My family and I just returned to Lima Peru after driving to Arequipa and Chile. I found out about this hotel from Trip Advisor. It worked out well for us to stop one night at this property on our drive. Just be aware that it is not really anywhere near Arequipa but on the beach near the town of Chala.... More

Puerto Inca hotel which is located outside of Chala and not the address they give for mailing in Arequipa This is basic hotel with a great beach and very interesting ruins on the site. The rooms are basic but clean and lots of hot water. The meal was basic but good. They seemed to run out of some of the... More
