We have stayed in this hostel for one week in a room with a doble bed.The hostel located 50 m from the plaza de armas and thus perfect. I liked the old colonial building with its patio, and some walls were even built by the incas. The prices reasonable. The rooms were quiet and clean. Breakfast was bit sparsely but... More

Cuzco is a city to explore so your not going to stay in the hotel all day. With that being said for a bed to sleep on and for the price we paid it was just about right. More

We booked originally at Walkon Inn, but they overbooked and placed us into Sumac Wasi. For the price we paid we didn't expect much, but this place is really not worth any money. Rather spend a bit more and stay anywhere else. The location is really great, but it felt really scruffy and dirty and the bathroom was really awful.... More

Three of us (husband, wife, 14-year old son) stayed in Sumac Wasi for 5 nights (2 different rooms - 3 nights in one and 2 nights in another) in June 2010 and found it be conveniently located but very basic. It is in a charming old building, but it is very cold inside and the breakfast area was like a... More

This place was fantasic for our family of nine. We just wanted somewhere cheap and we found it. And the best part is that along with being cheap it was clean, the owner, Lourdes (I think that was her name) was super nice, and there was hot water...the most important !!! In the room we had a nice bed, cable... More

This hotel is on Procuradores street; which makes it a little too convinient to things; Unfortunately this alley is known as GRINGO alley; so you will see people trying to sell you drugs, prostitutes, and possibly a fake bill if trying to do business here. The staff of the hotel and of the tour agency are very very nice. They... More

I stayed 5 nights at Sumac Wasi in a single room. The staff was very friendly- they met me at the airport and drove me to the hotel free of charge, and served me coca tea in my room. The room itself was nice, not too small. It's in a 200 year old building with wooden doors and flooring. I... More

Upon planning my trip to Peru I came across the Sumac Wasi on the internet. Since the price seemed fair and the photos looked charming, I booked five nights for me and my husband. Once I got there I found the location was indeed excellent, but the place itself was a real joint. Everything is a bit too old and... More

This hostel was decent in most ways, and I would prefer to leave a positive review... but unfortunately I have to report that one of the hostel employees deliberately scammed us into taking a fake US$100 bill, on Monday, February 1st, 2010 at 7:30 PM. We checked out of the hostel on Monday morning at 9:30 am. They offered to... More

First off the staff is very friendly and helpful despite their limited English (and our limited Spanish) and the location is just foot steps away from the Plaza de Armas and serveral restaurants to choose from. The building its self is an old Spanish home with fantastic architecture and a charming courtyard in the center that was converted to a... More
