This is a long overdue review of the Tahuayo Lodge. Last August, my mom and I had a sensational and adventurous trip with the Team at the Amazonia Expeditions. We stayed for 4 days and Christian was our guide. He had exceeded our expectations and more !!! He took us out fishing at the Oxbow Lake and I caught a... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was at the lodge. Knowing that the orginal lodge had been flooded my husband and I had no idea what to expect. We had not expected that such wonders could be done in such a short time. The rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. The food was great and... More

What can I say? The region was having a ridiculous amount of rain and stressing the facility to the max. Despite rising waters and impossible circumstances the staff were friendly and focused. The food was excellent (and the kitchen kept working even when it was flooded), and the atmosphere is exactly what you want out of a lodge in the... More

My husband, my parents and I spent a week on the Tahuayo River with Amazonia Expeditions. Every day was a perfect treasure. We went during the high water season, which worked perfectly for us, as we did all our exploring via canoe or boat. My mom celebrated her 80th birthday enjoying a magical bird-watching canoe ride, flying through the air... More

What an amazing experience!! I spent the week at the Tahuayo Lodge this past March as part of a volunteer dental team working in nearby villages and the wonderful people at the Tahuayo Lodge were our gracious hosts. Everything was fantastic, from the food and the rooms to the location and the surroundings and above all though, the people. Everyone... More

...and when you do, you should stay at the Tahuayo Lodge. I just got back from a week-long stay there, and I am so grateful for the experiences I had. I went with 20 other classmates, and we really got to know each other as we boated around, but more importantly we learned incredible things from the guides about the... More

Amazing Amazonia Adventure! I was on a dental mission and could not have been happier with the lodge and Dolly and all her staff. They Fed us, transported us, supported us in helping the villages there and all with a smile and real true concern for people less fortunate that ourselves. For being in the jungle the lodge was truly... More

I had never been to the Amazon jungle before so I didn't know what to expect. The lodge was amazing. Dolly and the staff were extremely warm & friendly. Everyone was knowledgeable about the jungle, the animals, the birds, the history and everything else you would want to know about the jungle. The food was great and very creative. Only... More

We were traveling with Healing the Children and serving the families of both Chino and Esperanza. Dolly and her staff were amazing. They were ever so helpful, accomodating, and knowledgeable. The Lodge is breathtaking and we were so very well taken care of. The food was outstanding. If you want an incredible Amazonia experience, this is the place for you. More
