We found Pacaya Samiria Lodge on trip advisor. It's so hard to know which of the lodges to go to and the reviews on this site helped us so much! This lodge is a little further away from civilization and we loved every minute of our time there! We had people waiting for us at the airport and after an... More

Incredible family vacation led by our most excellent guide Rey Torres - unforgettable jungle excursion replete with creepy-crawlies, monkeys/sloths, dug-out canoe rides, pirana fishing, romps in the rain forest, plus an olfactory and taste excursion with exotic tropical fruits, saps, and smells. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and playful, and the accommodations were perfect - private open-air (but screened)... More

Exploring the jungle by feet, by boat, fishing piranhas, sleeping in tent in the middle of the jungle. Everday a limit falls and at the end i felt comfortable sitting on the last dry part about 50km away from the lodge it's raining and the boat is missing (and is paddled back). Don't expect too much comfort (they do what... More

We were a group of 14, so shared 4 cabins. The cabins were rustic but clean. Don't expect luxury here. Electricity from only 6 - 10 p.m. and no hot water in the shower, as others have indicated but the shower was still welcome and refreshing. Food was fine and the whole lodge is a nice set up. Lots of... More

First of all, I love comfort but if you are coming to the jungle this far out, be prepared to make trade-offs (e.g. there is NO hot water at the resort so the showers are very cold, electricity is only from 6-10 p.m., there are no windows and just mosquito nets, etc). However, this is what you get for being... More

Not a good experience! We were expecting better service and a king size bed as promised. They day we left I was missing money from my wallet. 2 argentinian ladies were complaining about their camera missing.... We left earlier.

We spent 5 gorgeous days at PSAL. All was super: location, food (even if more native jungle fruits could be necessary), excursions in the jungle, on Marañon river, to see the birthplace of the Amazon river by the junction of Marañon and Ucayali, on the tributaries of Marañon, and not the least, our hosts were outstanding. I want to thank... More

This is the experience of a lifetime. From the moment you set foot in the taxi/mini bus to travel to Nauta boat station and onto Pacaya Samiria reserve you are in the hands of experts taking care of your needs and any questions about the jungle/reserve. The programme varies dependent on the number of days stay but you can have... More

We stayed at this lodge for 5 days and had a memorable peaceful time. The accommodation is rustic and all the chalets have a river view. Check out the hammocks on your porch and in the very relaxing lounge. However hot water in the showers should be introduced using solar water panels. The grounds are well landscaped and the setting... More
