6 of us stayed at the Hostal El Patio on 3 separate nights during our recent trip to Peru. Due to the timing of inter-country flights, we found ourselves in Lima for one night at a time. The Hostal El Patio is a very cute, quaint hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Most of the staff has very limited... More

I'd almost call this a hotel. It was the nicest hostel we stayed at in Peru. Our room had a clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. It also had a small private balcony. The room had a very small TV that we never attempted to turn on. It's in a very nice neighborhood, Miraflores.

Hostal el Patio is a great little hotel, centrally located in the heart of Miraflores, close to all the main shopping and eating areas. Plain but clean and quiet rooms with a plant-filled outdoor hallway full of birds and sitting areas both outside and under a roof. Helpful staff called a money changer for us who came to the hotel... By far if you can afford ($40.00 US), a night a great place. Location in Mirflores is very central, 3 blocks from Parque De Kennedy, very safe and clean. the area might seem touristico, but it's really a Lima/Peru peoples neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable, thes beds I found were great, the little sitting areas are nice to have a... More

Stayed at Hostal El Patio in August of 2012. Fantastic location, within walking distance of many wonderful parks, restaurants, and coffee shops in Miraflores. My wife and I arrived exhausted at nearly midnight, but immediately set out walking the streets, and felt completely safe - something that can't be said of all urban areas in Latin America. Most of the... More

We were checked-in by someone who does not speak English. We couldn't tell him that we couldn't sleep because our room was overpowered by painted fumes and we were flashed by strobing christmas lights, which no matter how much we tried, the curtains do not cover the top of the window. When we checked out, our bill was higher by... More

I always stay here when I am passing through Lima. Wonderful and helpful staff, hot water, decent continental breakfast, and great location. I would recommend for travelers who are on a budget but still appreciate comfort.

We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we had gone elsewhere. It was totally fine! Not horribly wrong, so don't be afraid if you plan to stay here. Pros: Fantastic Location Nice staff Decent wifi Hot water seemed to work Cons: Not the cleanest (not filthy, but not the cleanest) Older/dingier furnishing Price When we returned to Lima, we... More

This place was friendly, clean and simple, with the flowers and courtyards creating a nice respite from the noise and business of Miraflores. The offered breakfast is basic and served in a small room that gets a bit crowded in peak times. I looked at a couple of other places in the same price range, and this is the better... More

Very charming hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff. Located in the center of Miraflores, near Park Kennedy, beautiful place to stay in Lima. S/15 discount for cash payments. Reservations must be made in advance, even in low season.
