Couldn't ask for more: a good room in an excellent, quiet neighborhood a bit removed (but an easy walk) to the major attractions of Lima Flores (Kennedy Park and the beach). Breakfast is just coffee, bread, and jam, but for these room prices it's easy to treat yourself and walk around the corner to Don Mamino for fancier fare and... More

Great place to stay. the place is very elegant and fells more like a hotel. The rooms were very nice and had a fridge, tv and private bathroom! For about $50 (for 2 people) this is a great deal trust me. I paid about $35 to stay in a much lower grade place with none of the above mentioned. There... More

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood lies this hostal of great fame. Once owned by Jose Luis himself and now renovated by the new owners. Very well priced and includes a small breakfast. The positive points are as follows: free wi-fi, free use of the kitchen ( there is a huge supermarket 4 blocks away), secure neighborhood (Miraflores), close to... More

Jose Luis was fine for what we wanted in Lima. But the best thing was that Gladys Villavicencio Atoche, one of the receptionist, is also a travel agent. She planned our entire three weeks in Peru for a very, very reasonable fee and we had no problems. And no hassles, since all our tickets, hotels, etc., was paid for and... More

the place is like a maze and the additions are built very rinkydink. The room we stayed in was not the best, event for just sleeping. The dogs & traffic kept me up all night. Breakfast is very basic, consisting of bread, butter/jam, coffee or tea. They have a kitchen you can use to make food.

As a novice travel consultant and with everyone wanting to travel today, it is still very important to find economical, clean, safe places, I wanted to stay at Hostal Jose Luis to see if I could help others have a great vacation in Miraflores area without spending alot of money for a good nights sleep. I had heard great things... More

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hostal looks nothing like their web site. My 3 friends and I spent 16 days in 5 different cties in Peru, and this was by far the worst (and most expensive) hostal we stayed at. Here's a summary of my experience: - The hotel was under construction; I was woken up at 7:00am by the... More

I was extremely pleased with the people at Hostal Jose Luis. I was lucky that I was the only one in my room, and it was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, I could walk to the main areas of Miraflores and the steet and area were clean and felt very safe. Most of all the people were friendly... More

Yes, it is Miraflores, which is the place to stay in Lima, but there are plenty of other hostal/hotels to stay in. Avoid this place. As mentioned previously, the rooms are dingy, bathrooms are grimy, and I never felt secure. When I arrived late at night, the first they showed us had an open balcony which would not close (and...
