The price was right for one night passing through. Very nice staff with limited English. I was promised a taxi (with added/reasonable fee), but ended up having to get my own because their driver's car had broken down. Hot water, bed, thin walls, free Internet, small cafe downstairs. The central location is convenient for walkers/adventurers, but not at night.

This is one of the few mid-range options if you want to stay in the center of Lima (which I would advice against if you have the choice). We didn't know Lima that well before we went there, the center is not the place to sleep and eat. The location of the hotel is quite good, two blocks from the... More

I stayed in Hostal Bonbini for almost two months while searching for an apartment in Lima. I'm glad that I did. The staff were very friendly and completely trustworthy. The hotel is comfortable and safe, and bathrooms, showers and other facilities are excellent, though decidedly not new construction. Bonbini's location is good depending on what interests you. It's in the... More

Stayed in a triple room, the beds were very comfortable and even though we had a street room i didn´t notice the traffic outside, we stayed for 2 nights. The showers had plenty of hot water and there was also free internet use in the corridor. Breakfast was included and was juice, tea or coffee and 2 rolls with jam... More

Very close to the center, so it is very heavy traffic The cars honk on the streets day and night, so unfortunately the street side rooms are quite noisy .The staff very helpful and kind, The breakfast is very simple,as usual in Peru . I think the price is right for value . This is a good temporary accommodation for... More

We were met off our flight in the early hours of the morning by a very friendly driver despite our flight being 2 hours delayed. The drive to the hostel took less than half an hour. When we arrived the gates were locked, which was reassuring as the area seemed very dark with a few characters wandering about. We were... More

This hotel was nice enough to arrange a pick up for us from a late night arrival into the Lima Airport. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. Those were the plusses. The rooms were fairly grim, and even with earplugs, could hear city sounds on the street. The bedding felt almost slimy. There were tvs in the room that... More

A good place to start our Peru travels. We were met at the airport as promised. The room was adequate, clean and quiet - a curtained window on to a light-well is OK when you are out all day. It was great to be able to walk out, feeling safe even at night, to the main square, sites, shops etc.... More

We had booked in to another hostal in central Lima which on arrival turned out to be very grim. We had already tried to book into two others which had no vacancies. So we were very relieved to find Hostal Bonbini close by and pleasantly surprised with both the quality of the facilities and the price. Our room with private... More

We returned to the Bonbini at the end of our Peru trip. We had so far been quite happy with it. But this night we went out to a pena (folkloric dancing, music) and returned at 2 am by taxi. Not a late hour in this town. The hotel was locked up tight. Another person was ringing the doorbell. We... More
