We (4 sisters traveling independently) stayed at Tikawasi Valley for 3 nights and loved this charming little hotel. The rooms were charming (Inka stone), had heaters & TV, and bathroom was more than adequate. The staff was friendly & very helpful at all times. We left our luggage while we traveled to Machu Picchu & all was intact on our... More

Stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. My room was very small and both windows looked out onto walkways were guests walked passed. The room and bathroom were clean. It did not include a heater which could be hired for 10 soles - I didn’t get one, but other on the tour did. It did get cold at night,... More

While pretty basic; the room was very decent and clean. We booked a 'comfort' room which had a heater. Regular rooms don't. In May we needed it as it got quite cold at night. The people at the "front desk" were always friendly and helpful. They arranged for our transfers from Cusco airport - everything was fine and reasonably priced.... More

Likes: The location was perfect and close by to the Inca Ruins. Quiet hotel and very clean. Friendly staff. Great value for money.  Modern clean rooms, lovely garden area. Refreshments sold at a reasonable price. Dislikes None

We stayed here for one night before starting the 4 day Inca Trail trek. A very nice hotel! Our room was very comfortable and nice and quite. We overlooked the courtyard which is much quieter than the street. The shower is terrific...plenty of hot water!! Breakfast was very good.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tikawasi Valley Hotel for 1 night. The location was great (right by the entrance gates to the archeological sites). English communication was limited but it had the warm feel of a family-run hotel. Hot showers were no problem for us, and shampoo/conditioner/soap/hair dryer was provided which saved my day as I had left all... More

The location here is good as you are just next to the ruins which we could see from a corner of our window. They did not have us on the record even though I booked weeks in advance, so we were moved from room to room. The room we had for two was tiny, with towels and some head and... More

This was our first hotel in Peru. We stayed three nights. The location is ideal for seeing the local ruins and Machu Picchu (without having to stay overnight in Aqua Caliente). If you go to MP I recommend booking the earliest departure and the latest return. The hotel host provided a free box lunch for MP at request which was... More

A little away from the main plaza but very friendly place to stay with free cocoa tea available in all hours to ease altitude sickness. Upper level much better as the lower level tend to be noisy with lots of traffic. Good breakfast.

This hotel was a great little place. The rooms were large and comfortable. I had heard negative things about the showers but when we were there the showers had great water pressure and lots of warm water. One of the better showers that I had during my stay in Peru. Breakfast was typical for this area.. cereal, fruit, bread and... More
