I am not looking to bash anyone, but the interior rooms have no windows. I speak enough Spanish, but had a hard time getting my point across to the staff, who spoke zero English, "Una habitación con ventanas por favor" Otherwise a clean, new-enough hotel, friendly staff unfortunately unable or unwilling to speak English.

Hotel Sur is a very basic and average Hotel in Montevideo. I haven't stayed at other hotels in the city but IMO there is no way this place should be no 2 on TA. The place is rather small, with very limited services and options (No Bfast..). As mentioned by others, the rooms are clean but very spartian as well... More
