I can only confirm other reviewers comments. Located about 10 minutes away from Ciudad Vieja, easy access to Montevideos bus system and 5 min walk to the nearest stretch of La Rambl, Iberia is well placed and relatively safe. The staff are extremely helpful and a little bit of Spanish will go a long way to make exchanges more effective.... More

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Iberia hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size but the mattresses was slightly uncomfortable, just a very hard no spring mattress. Only other negative was lack of hot water for the shower but this is a 2 star hotel and at a good price it... More

The hotels very nice and centrally located close to everything. The rooms are nice and clean and the space is fine. The staff is amazing; it was my husband birthday the morning after our arrival and I asked them to try to find a flagg to put on his breakfast - and eventhough it was late in the evening when... Not much to add to the other reviews, great location in centre of town and near the sea, clean and comfortable modern rooms. Helpful staff (but you do need to speak a bit of Spanish). Very good value. We were tired one evening and wanted to just relax so we brought back a beer and they gave us glasses and... More

This hotel is perfect for the budget-minded traveler. The location is great, just a few blocks from the main drag (Av 18 de Julio) and a few blocks from the Rambla. The room was spacious, the hotel is in great condition, but i have to say the staff is so accommodating. We felt like we were coming home to friends... More

We only spend one night at this hotel. The price was low and totally worth it. They have clean rooms, and the area can't be better. The people working there are very friendly and they are able to give good advice on where to go, where to dine, what to do. Like I said, the area can't be better, we... More

The answer is easy: Because it's a great two stars hotel. In that category of hotels, we don't expect much and what we get in Hotel Iberia is definitely a better deal. First, a great welcome. It's a family hotel and the staff at front desk like to chat with their guests. True, it helps when you speak Spanish. The... More

This is the kind of hotel that you're not sure if it was good or not. For sure, the location is nice since it's walk distance from the whole old town (ciudad vieja). So you get planty of restaurants, a grocery store 2 mins away, etc. I booked a room for 2 twin beds 1 month before. We arrive at... More

Very good location, close to Ciudad Vieja (Old City), and our room was very good, with a double matrimonial bed, air conditioner, LCD TV and frigobar. It was very clean too. The staff was very pacient, despite the fact thar they couldn't speak english. But they tryed to explain everything. For this price? I think you woudn't find any hotels... More

Room was clean and tidy if a little dated. The hotel itself was pleasant and well decorated. There is a nice area for eating and relaxing, and computers for internet access. Be aware there is no lift - you will have to carry your bags up at least one flight of stairs. The staff were friendly and generally spoke at... More
