Friendly staff and clean, tidy little hotel. Great location close to Skenderbeg Square with a nice looking restaurant next door and friendly open-all-hours locals cafe/bar across the road. ATMs and plenty of other eating places nearby too.
The tiny lift is quite amusing (just enough room for 2 thin backpackers with sacks !) but works fine.

Hotel California in Tirana, sounds funny... We came to town after sunset, without planning and found this hotel when driving to the very downtown. Limited parking but we were lucky.
Nice location, couple of minutes walk off the main square. Room small but clean and everything working. Own balcony. Staff very friendly and adviced a lot.

A pleasant, very centrally located hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Balconies overlooking the small side-street and gaze at Skanderberg Square. Within easy walking distance all major attractions in Tirana. 300 m walk to Skanderberg Square.
Nice staff. Nice breakfast.
Hotel Kalifornia is a good choice at a very good value.

Small place, tucked away above a cafe (but don't worry about the noise). Rooms all looked brand new and in Western Europe would probably be in a 3-star hotel (although this is a small place - it's not a big hotel). Bathroom was fine. Staff tried to be helpful, although as Albania can be a little chaotic, they were limited...
