I am a 22 year veteran of the hospitality industry. This is not an Inn it is a hotel. I agree with some of the other comments about "updating". The plastic plants need to go in Mom's, curtains in the room did not match, could not turn off the fan in room, needed a soap dish, staff needs to smile... More

The Nantucket Inn has the best of both world. The location is away from the downtown but that it not always a bad thing. My sisters and I (six in total) spent a weekend in Nantucket. During the day we could take the shuttle to the beach or in town for lunch and shopping. Yet, in the morning we could... More

Thanks Jake! We're so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us! We think your description of the Nantucket Inn as "the Best of Both Worlds" is particularly apt - the comforts of an inn with the amenties of a resort! What a perfect combination. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you - and the family... More

Each spring The Nantucket Inn runs special packages until the first week in June.. The rooms are clean, quiet and newly renovated. The Mom's Breakfast Buffet included in my package, was enough to hold us over till mid day, with plenty of "fuel"( coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, waffles & muffins etc.) to get you walking, bicycling, or riding around the... Thank you happytraveler for your extensive and very kind review! We agree that, as your schedule permits, early summer and fall are the best times to enjoy Nantucket without the crowds. And to save some money! All of our wonderful staff will be returning for the 2012 season - we can't wait to welcome you back! Thank you again. More

We came here for my birthday last summer. What a disappointment. It's not close to town, you have to take a shuttle to town. The rooms are horrible, they are like 1970's hotel rooms for 200-250 a night, not worth it- you can hear everything and they smell funky-- Pay a little extra and stay in town! Trust me. More

Hi jennifer! Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts! We are sorry that your birthday getaway didn't live up to your expectations. We hope that you were aware that the resort is not located within walking distance of main street before you arrived. We think the free shuttle service makes us pretty convenient but we understand if... More

Its located a little way out of town near the airport but there is a free shuttle that will bring you to/from town. Staff are very nice. Outdoor pool and hottub were nice. There's a little snack/drink bar at the pool. Rooms were clean and nice. There was a full hot breakfast that was really good.Overall I would definitely stay... More

My husband and I stayed there on Columbus day weekend. The room was a nice size and had a mini fridge. Hotel was quiet with several quaint courtyards. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. The only draw back was that it was a few miles from town, but they do have a shuttle that runs every hour. More

We stayed here in September for an overnight stay. We did not know what to expect since this Inn is out of town near the airport. It was just fine! Comfortable beds, room was clean if not a bit dated. We did not want to stay for more than one night on the island as we were there to attend... More

Hi washashore! We are so glad that we were able to accommodate you for your one-night stay on Nantucket. And we certainly agree that we are perhaps the best value for your dollar on the island. We look forward to welcoming you again - perhaps for a few more days! Thank you! More

Stayed here 3 nights in September (post-Labor Day) for a continuing ed. conference. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Inn was quiet, had a few of the usual amenities, and our room was spacious, clean and more than adequate-- Nothing at all fancy, but good, solid, motel/ hotel type accomodations. Van pickup from the ferry was smooth and shuttles to... More

My wife and I have been to Nantucket as a couple about 5 times in the last dozen or so years -- and have stayed in cute/quaint, somewhat pricey B&Bs near downtown proper and had wrongly thought that staying out near the airport would be a logistical/geographic burden. However -- it was not and it actually had its benefits as... More

WOW! Jack H. have you ever consider a career as a travel writer. We really appreciate your very detailed review and especially your thoughts as a parent travelling with children. Sometimes, even we forget our strong selling points - and the truth is we are probably your best option for a family-friendly get-away or vacation! Thanks again and we hope... More

Just returned from 3 nights at Nantucket Inn. We reserved the larger guest room with 2 double beds and got a cot (3 kids and hubby and I). It was not a **** stay, but what it lacked in oooh's and ahhh's it made up for in the nice way we were all treated! Place is a little dated, but... More

Thanks mfturk for the nice and very detailed review! We can't do anything about our location (we can always wish we were oceanfront) But we think, we more than compensate with our complete facilities, great services and awesome staff! Many of the improvements we make each year come directly from our guests suggestions. You can be assured we are always... More
