I recently stayed at Hotel Chichikov in Kharkov Ukraine. Can recommend it to anyone. Has a good location, rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff was very warm and friendly, and helped in many ways with car and driver, flowers delivered to restaurant, dinner reservations, etc. It is a very nice place and nice people working there. Stayed in Chichikov hotel several times. Location is great, just in the heart of the city, but on the calm street. Room is comfortable and spacious. Every room has Gogol's "Dead Souls" book - Chichikov is the main character there. The breakfast could be more varied, but I've never been hungry. More

Third time here! Staff remembers my name. Great location. Walk to bank for currency exchange, restaurants, shopping, and parks. Lacks the facilities of a true 5 star hotel but it is the best Kharkov has to offer. You won't be disappointed. Rates are very reasonable. More
