I was in Plovdiv for almost 2 weeks, and therefore decided to spend a little bit extra for a '4 star' hotel. I left disappointed. Firstly the rooms. Opulent, lavishly furnished, but mine was also extremely hot and was next to the main road so was woken up every morning by the traffic. The worst thing about the room was... More

DO NOT GO THERE NOT EVEN IF YOU ARE GIVEN HOTEL STAY FOR FREE..never in my traveling life have I been to a supposedly 4* Hotel which has left me sick in the stomach each day I spent there. We had to hold our noses and open our bedroom windows for fresh air in freezing weather. The nasty smell,as soon as... More

First of all - the hotel was 50 Euros per night - for 2 people, including breakfast! Reception is like something from a film set - beautiful chinese vases (nearly 6ft tall), fabulous plants, and all sorts of quirky art deco pices - look for the telephone and stand near the reception desk. The room was - simply amazing -... More

As I write this I am in the bedroom of our "apartment". We have a king size bed which consists of 2 twin beds along with a sofa that pulls out to make a full size sofa. Unfortunately the hotel staff has no sheets for the pull out sofa that is simply a single cot only for one person and... More

Wow, the service at this hotel was one big disaster. Starting from the breakfast, same items served for 4 days. If you happen to wake up later than 8:30 and the hotel is busy, you can say bye bye to breakfast " no big deal as it was tasteless". Reception area.... yeah I'm left without comments, this guy at the... More

We were at the hotel for a week and we had expected much better. The first impression was good as we were given a VIP room due to a baby we had with us and the cot couldn't fit in the other rooms. The setting was quite appalling as its based on the Victorian style plus that all the red... More

We wnet with 23 people from our foorball club for 4 days for a match and wow what a sad place. The outside gardens are decimated, the bar closes very early, no Duty Manager at night, flashy VERY expensive BMW's outside and what unfriendly staff. Breakfast was scorned upon by the two staff and the food was false and tasteless.... More

Well situated Hotel, with quite good rooms. The only trouble is the staff. They are not very friendly to customers. Breakfast was the same for 6 whole days and our beds were not made up for 4 days out of six. We found unclean towels which were not changed but washed in our room and left to dry ! The... More

The hotel is clean and well situated, but you should have more people talking in english. The only person i have met in the hotel was Mariana the recepionist and was very helpful. Nothing to complain about the others. Helenio Malta More

The property is a gold mine if it is run properly. The staff are anything but helpful, don't know how to smile and hardly speak any english. But these charateristics seems to apply to most of the Bulgarians we had contact with. There's an air of apathy in Plovdiv starting from the river and carried throughout the town. On a... More
