The hotel is not to be faulted: it is very well-maintained and cared for, the premises are very clean and well-kept, the staff absolutely fusses over you and the food was excellent. The hotel is a bit outside Mandalay but I thought it was a good thing, since the city center is very crowded and noisy. You can enjoy some... More

We enjoyed our 4 nights stay. Professionnel staff, very good breakfast, great pool, nice room and excellent service. The only problem is that our standard room was very noisy and isolation between the rooms is not very good. In fact you hear the neighbours speaking. We was obliged to sleep with earplugs.

We loved the whole place. We arrived very early - before 9am - off an internal flight from Yangon, expecting to just drop our bags, but they ushered us in to breakfast and had a room ready within the hour. Great ambiance, helpful staff, lovely pool, fabulous breakfast buffet (Western and Myanmar options), good range of food options for dinner.... More

The Rupar Mandalar is not well positioned. It is neither close to downtown nor in a leafy and pleasant residential area. The decoration is a bit too overdone for my liking. The quality of the food is mixed, breakfast very good dinner average. What I liked most about the place is the impeccable service. The senior receptionist Ms. Win helped... More

Great boutique style hotel set amongst semi industrial buildings and derelict wastelands, some way out of town. Spacious rooms, stunning pools, one large and deep for swimming and one for paddling. The hotel houses a spa offering 15min complimentary Thai massage. The restaurant has dining in and out with a somewhat tiresome entertainment program in the garden. You cannot fault... More

We stayed here for one night when we visited Mandalay. It was, by far the best hotel we stayed in during the trip. Great service, attentive staff and we were upgraded to a lovely room, close to the large swimming pool. It was in a small villa, with a reception area shared with another room. Outside was a teak veranda,... More

Having stayed in many hotels in Myanmar we have to say that while service was impeccable at the Rupar - the value for money ratio was outrageous - the hotel was 2/3rds empty and sadly we had booked online 2 months previous to arriving. As a result we paid $180/night for a room close to two roads - so with... More

Very quietlyu nested in a beautiful garden, they had the best coffee I had in Myanmar. The hotel staff, especially at breakfast, was fantastic and incredibly forthcoming to satisfy all your requests. Although slightly outside the center, it is worth the peace!

We were delighted with our stay at the Rupar. Service is impeccable and superb. The rooms are lavish and beautifully appointed. We were treated to delicious Myanmar and Chinese cuisine by U Aung Kyaw Soe during our 3 days at Rupar. Their staff were kind, courteous and happy to help.

This is one of several outstanding hotels in Myanmar. The hotel has 16 beautiful rooms. They are mostly all made of highly polished teak. The lobby and public areas are also mostly teak. The staff were unbelievable. Only in Asia have I found service this good. Breakfasts were excellent. I had my laundry done. I called in the evening and... More
