Stayed in April 2012. Nothing new to add not previously said other than to explain that room sizes (even in the same catergory) do differ. Rooms that over look the pool area are by far the best. Rooms are not large but have everything you need (fridge, aircon, lots of complementary water, fruit, good bathrooms etc etc). Pool was cleaned... More

Charming modern but attractively designed hotel in oriental style. Centrally located with easy access to main sites in Mandalay, but in a quiet location away from main streets. Small but well designed and equipped room, friendly staff, free internet access and great breakfasts. Evening happy hour with free local cocktails and snacks by the pool in a pretty garden is... My husband and I stayed for two nights at this property and have no complaints at all. The location was fine for us and the hotel, grounds and staff very welcoming. Each time you entered the property it was nice to be greeted by a refreshing drink and a cold towel. We felt the hotel was nicely designed with good... More

This is a charming hotel conveniently located near the palace compound in the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff available at all times. The room we had was ridiculously designed with an enormous bed and a pillar stuck in the middle of the room - one person in the double bed had to clamber over the other to get... More

Very nice, clean and modern Hotel. True, the rooms are not the biggest size but this adds to the charme of the Hotel. One thing that really really stood out was the friendliness of the staff. Every evening from 6 to 7 free cocktails around the pool. Location of the hotel is good. This Hotel is for people that prefer... More

This superbly-managed hotel was a welcome and needed sanctuary halfway through my Myanmar holiday. Besides being well designed and impeccably maintained, every detail of service, from cocktails by the pool to the 'meditative thought' card left each evening during turndown, was comforting, professional, and reflected a standard beyond any other I experienced in Myanmar. I was hoping to take a... More

We stayed at the Red Canal for two nights in April 2012 and enjoyed every minute of it. We had managed to get a good rate through an online reservation, which made a great value for money. The hotel, the rooms and the garden-area are beautifully thought-through up to the last details. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We... More

When you arrive there is like a dream...nice staff are welcoming you with scenting cool towel and a drink, and a beautiful smile!!! The Hotel is small, but all so perfect... starting at the reception where so nice and kind girls are welcoming you and helping you for all. I wish to mention all of them...but I'm worried to forget... More

The rooms are not what you see advertised they have obviously been photo shopped to make them look larger along with the swimming pool you cant even get out of one side of the bed and the window view from the larger rooms looks out to a filthy wall, the rooms were clean and the staff always had a smile and... Great hotel and staff. The staff where very helpful at all times. Rooms ok and along with other factilities. The pool area was small and lacks chairs and seating. Free evening cocktails is a must great way to talk with the staff and other visitors. Would highly recommend.
