We arrived with a 2 night booking, stayed 3 nights and came back for another 3 nights. We spent 2 weeks in Laos and paid higher rates and lower rates. For $52/night it is worth every $. Yes you can pay less in Luang Prabang, but not for the high standard and location of Villa Chitdara. First visit we had... More

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Chitdara. Room was clean and nicely decorated, comfy beds and AC worked well. I asked for a front view and got it. Staff very nice. Great location within walking distance of everything but slightly off centre for a bit of peace and quiet. I thought the breakfast wasn't great, and ate out after the... More

We recently stayed at the Villa Chitdara Guesthouse for 3 nights in March 2012. Great place. Very clean with all the modern conveniences one might need. Location is tough to beat. Good sized room with nice bathrooms and great hot showers with lots of water pressure. The staff was very professional and courteous. Breakfast was simple and tasty. We had... More

We stayed three nights. Breakfast was better than described on other reviews, and you can request Laos noodle soups if you ask the night before. Breakfast is out on a covered veranda next to a pleasant and cool garden. Rooms were fine, large enough. Bed was good, air conditioning worked well. Location was very good, slightly to the east of... We'd agree with the positive comments about this guesthouse, the garden is pleasant, the rooms very clean and for us we thought the breakfast was good. We have few tips - Do specify what room you want, we'd agree that the garden view is the best but ask for one of the upper rooms as the ground floor balconies have... More

I was recommended this place by Villa Chitdara2 as they were full at the time of my visit to Luang Prabang. I was not disappointed, in fact, I was really happy after staying for 7 nights. My room situated at a corner on the second floor, I hesitated at first for any noise as it was close to the stairs... More

This guesthouse reflects the sweetness of Luang Prabang. The Lao owners have spent many years in France therefore they understand western and eastern priorities. The smallish rooms are nicely appointed with Lao woven decor and beautiful wooden floors. The property is very clean and the staff very helpful. The front balconies open onto the street where the monks walk every... More

Our 5 night stay at Villa Chitdara boutique was cosy. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and always clean. The small bedroom has beautiful timber floor and lovely balcony. Breakfast which was included was only adequate, eggs to order but omelet is only egg no additions, coffee was not hot. Tip...have coffee in your room. Water and wifi were... More

Well, when you first look at some suitable accommodation in Luang Prabang, you will notice that everything which is located in the eastern part of the peninsula of the city, is a bit pricier than the rest. You simply have to pay for the location or let's say the short ways to the center. Villa Chitdara is relatively centrally located,... More
