Cannot say enough about this wonderful hotel. Truly an oasis of calm, serenity and hospitality. Beautiful, spacious rooms, that overlook immaculate grounds that are beautifully landscaped. The wonderful, interesting staff justifiably takes great pride in the hotel and they cannot do enough for you. The restaurant is not only excellent, beautiful and provides an option to eat inside or out,... More

Thank you so much for the very positive comments opined about our Hotel de la Paix. I am especially pleased when our employees receive recognition for their efforts as ultimately its our valued guests, such as yourself, who set the standards to which we aspire. All's well that ends well and I am glad that we managed to assist in... More

A good choice if you like clean lines and minimal decorations. The rooms are big and have a indoor / outdoor bathroom. Make sure that you close the doors late afternoon to avoid mosquitos as this is the tropics. Lovely pool for swimming laps or just lazing. Staff still learning about service but we had a good time.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experiences while staying at our Hotel de la Paix. While I was pleased to learn that overall you enjoyed the experience, I take note of your observations about the closing of the exterior bathroom doors before the mosquitos gat into the room. I have discussed this with our Executive Housekeeper... More

I just returned from Laos and really enjoyed it very much - no wonder it is a Unesco World Heritage site as it has some of the most beautiful national treasures I have ever seen. We chose the Hotel de la Paix, even though itis about 10 mins drive out of town. However I am so pleased we did as... More

This hotel is located 10 minutes away from the city center by bike (5 minutes in Tuk Tuk). The place is brand new. Rooms are large and modern: some have a swimming pool, some have a bathtub and shower on the outsie, between the room and the garden. I am used to stay in 4 star-hotels in Europe, but this... More

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night and fell in love with it. The design element was very strong and from the outside, it looks like a fortress. Inside the hotel, it feels like a complete different world. The service was top notch and the food was yummy. I stayed in a pool villa and the room is huge. It... More

This is the former Alila Hotel, that has just recently been re-branded to a Hotel de la Paix. Thus taxis often cannot find it until you say Alila. That aside, the property is magnificent. Very private, well located with great rooms. This used to be an old French fort, thus all the rooms surround the expansive inner courtyard and pool... More

Thank you for your positive comments of our property following your recent stay with us. You are correct that we have just re-flagged the Hotel and have experienced some challenges in communicating our new name to the local community, Tuk Tuk drivers. We have a series of activities in hand designed to address this and so this is a thing... More

This is a wonderful boutique hotel for those who want a touch of luxury in Luang Prabang. As others have mentioned it has been converted from an old colonial detention facility, but it now has clean, modern lines. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, with lovely indoor-outdoor bathrooms and comfortable beds. Free wi-fi was reliable and fast. The staff... More

We had a good time at his new hotel. The staff are trying very hard to please and to offer good service but it is still a new hotel and in time the service will seem less forced and more natural. All in all a good experience and we would like to return in 5 years to see how they... More

We took a short weekend break to Luang Prabang which is one of Unesco World Heritage towns in Laos recently . We live in Bangkok which is a very cosmopolitan city so we were looking forward to this weekend getaway to a quiet little town . After searching the internet looking for a luxury accommodation we came across Hotel De... More
