We stayed in the room for 4 adults - the beds are huge and it was ok for sharing between two couples for three days. Nice breakfast, beautiful surroundings, clean and well maintained room. Location is good, very close to the main temple in LP. A short walk from the main stretch of restaurants, but that made this place very... More

Spent 5 nights here with my family of four. Organized with the owner to pick us up at the airport and for kip50,000 it was worth it to arrive hassle free. We stayed in the only family room which has two queen size canopy beds, wardrobe, dressing table, mini fridge and flatscreen tv. Great size and plenty of room. Bathroom... More

We emailed and asked for the 10$ bungalows and were given choice of 2 when we arrived. Good value and clean. Does not incl breakfast but that is 5$ for 2 people. Recommend buying anti mosquito coils to burn - cheap and effective Lovely to hear monks chanting in the early hours

When we arrived and saw our room, we were pleasantly surprised with how big our room was. We had plenty of space to place our individual luggage and didn't have to bump into each other whenever we moved around the room. The room was also clean and had an AC and ceiling fan. The guesthouse also provided bicycle for free,... More

I'm a budget travellor and it was such a relief to find this lovely place after a bad night in a dump of a room at another place. For $10 a night (low season) this was luxury. Super clean bathroom, fresh towels everyday and the sheets were lovely and clean and they came and made my bed too. The rooms... More

I loved it here so much. Where else can you get a beautiful, private house to yourself for $10, with gorgeous dark wood ceiling, comfortable bed, cute decor, ensuite with hot water, and a quiet peaceful beautiful setting with super friendly hosts? My OCD boyfriend and I walked all over town after staying in a pretty horrific budget place nearby.... More

Fantastic. The family that runs it is very friendly and helpful. They have more expensive luxury rooms, which are beautiful and probably well worth the $40 they cost, including breakfast and free bikes. But the real steal here is their budget bungalow. 80,000 kip / $10 (low season June 2012) for a double bungalow with fan. It is situated on... More

Large and comfortable rooms with shutters. Evening drinks and breakfast are enjoyed in a garden setting. The breakfast is very good. Location is near to most sights. Friendly service from this family run place. Even the dogs are very friendly, don't bark or bother guests. Bicycle rent is for free. Cycling is a great way to explore the town and... More

We stayed here one night. We arrive early in the morning - we left our bags in the check-in area. When we returned two hours later, they had prepared our room and brought our bags up. It is located in a quiet area of Luang Prabang - away from the night market - but close to French cafes and a... More

Luang Prabang is a pricey place and one won't find the cheap and nice guesthouses one finds in other small towns in Asia - this much was clear when we looked for guesthouses in Luang Prapang. The Khoum Xiengthong Guesthouse is nice, big rooms (tiny TV - with the rooms being so big you can't watch Tv from the bed)... More
