I feel much the same as the previous reviewer. My 3rd floor single room was small but better decorated than any other I stayed in and everything worked. A lot of traffic noise - everyone honks their horns incessantly but that's what you get with a centrally located hotel. Linen and towels spotless, as they were in every other hotel...

I stayed here with a tour group, and found it OK. My room was basic, but clean, everything worked and there was no wildlife.
Meals were served in a vast, bare dining-room, along with numerous other tour groups, and the quality of the food was acceptable.

Stayed here 3 nights with Voyages Jules Verne, didn't see any fleas or cockroaches in the rooms, which were kept clean and linen changed daily. Usual breakfasts, evening buffet OK. I was visiting a friend who was staying in hotel Planet in Aleppo and she was really unsatisfied about this place. After complaining at the reception she was given another room but the next day she complained about flees jumping up...

Front lobby looks good, but after that things take a downward turn. Corridors to rooms very poorly lit, someone said "Stalag Luft 3". Rooms quite dirty, and musty. Hopeless A/C, noisy fridge which had to be turned off at night.
Food OK in dining room, thronged with other groups. This certainly did not warrant 4 stars, even by Syrian standards.
