This beautiful big colonial style building unfortunately housed dusty rooms, filthy bathrooms, cold shower and disturbing service. It's much hyped up heated rooms in freezing cold potosi turned out to be a sham, and they would not budge on a discount. A real shame for such a cool building and great location.

We travelled as a group and used the 'luxury' of paying for rooms on the second floor, which have their own bathroom. The rooms were what u expect at a backpacker in Bolivia and maybe even a little better. Rooms were big, beds comfy, bathroom clean. We were impressed by the cool style of this hostel. Staff was nice, we... More

Ghastly place. Staff very unhelpful. Room freezing cold (had a private room) with terrible mould on the walls. 2 showers/ toilets between at least 20 people and dirty. Thee are plenty of other places to stay in Potosi - don't stay here.

The hostel was the most unfriendly I have ever stayed in, they advertise that they speak English, they don't and when I was trying my hardest with my basic Spanish they were really rude. It's massively over priced, the room was OK but at the top end of the price range I would expect free internet, we didn't get it... More

After travelling for over 6 months I have to say this is one of the most disappointing hostels we have stayed in. The staff were rude and unhelpful when asked about anything, including booking our bus journy on to La Paz (the told us the bus was full so we went to another hostel and they booked it for us... This has the potential to be a great hostel. BUT it has the RUDEST STAFF I have met anywhere!! The staff are very impatient with everyone, but especially with people who’s not fluent in Spanish… a poor characteristic for people working in the tourist industry! The double room itself was good. It had a tv, plenty storage and was clean.... More

Extremely good considering its prize. Clean, well located. More like a two or three stars hotel rather than a hostel.

Our first night here no heating was put on at all even though it was freezing. The bathrooms were never clean, never had toilet paper either. Lovely big room and bathroom in this period building. It was right in the centre of town and we found the staff very helpful. Did the silver mining tour they provide and had a great time with our guide Choco. Excellent value and fun drinking beer with the miners after the tour - very memorable!!
