I booked this for my last night in Sucre, for a little comfort and pampering. It is about three blocks from the main square, just opposite the Santa Clara church. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable with a big bed. There was also a balcony and access to a roof terrace (and a look-out for a great view of... More

This review is long overdue. I've never wrote one before, but felt the need to here. I stayed here a few months ago after traveling on a grueling hike through the jungle to the lost city. I only intended on staying 1 night, but became sick when I checked-in and wound up staying for a week. During that week, the... More

We stayed at the hotel in September following reviews on Tripadvisor. Overall we had a great stay and felt the hotel gave good value for money. We stayed in the garden room, which was a fantastic size with beautiful furniture. The only downside of the room was that it was often cold, particularly the bathroom, which meant that our towels... This hotel is well located just a few blocks from the main square. If you turn right out of the hotel there is a small convenience store about a block up the street on the left. The lobby is large and clean. I was given a ground floor room at the back of the hotel, one of the 400-number rooms.... More

Attracted by this hotel top positioning in Trip Advisor’s Sucre accommodations I decided to book this property instead of the more expensive Santa Anna parador which was undergoing noisy and heavy extensions voluntarily NOT mentioned at time of booking. Both check-in and check-out were performed politely with an accurate final invoice though most receptionists could not speak English, even basic!... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your recommendations; we will see how we can strengthen the use of English among the receptionists, although this is not easy in Sucre context. We are sorry that your visit coincided with the extrovert group of bikers, especially as you enjoy the quietness that actually is a more usual feature of the hotel, but these... More

We spent several nights at the Villa Antigua on two different occasions. Both times we had a room on the top floor. All the rooms open to an outdoor balcony or terrace. The views of Sucre from the terrace are great, especially in the evening. The staff served us a late afternoon lunch on the terrace. Rooms are spacious and... More

Our stay at Hotel Villa Antigua was very good. We just had a small problem while arriving since they didn't find our reservation but it was quickly solved. The rooms are big with minibar and tv (no coffee/tea maker), bathrooms are also big with hairdryer and tub. The buffet breakfast is good and includes eggs. The hotel has a pleasure... More

The Hotel Villa Antigua is located in a beautiful colonial building with a nice courtyard. The hotel has simple but very beautiful rooms and nice bathrooms. It is located in a very central location within short walking distance to all the sights. The staff are very nice and the owner obviously cares about the experiences of the hotel's guests, as... Dear guest, Thank you for your comments and we are very happy you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Villa Antigua. And thanks very much for the information about the not authorized pick up of a extra passenger on the road. You are totally right that this shouldn't happen and we will take it up with future drivers that will be... More

The hotel is a colonial building very well restored in all the public areas. Rooms are good but they don't offer a great comfort (considering the hotel is rating as 4 stars...), there is a feelling like the room is not already finished - well appointed. Blackout curtains missing! The major drawback was the shower, which dind't have good presure... More
