Very decent and nicely organized small hotel. Great value. Good showers and good breakfast. Most hostels and small hotels are huddled between the ferry and the town center. However this one was worth the small effort to find it. In the suburbs you suddenly see this modern hotel frontage. We were very happy to stay there.

Stayed at Alcazar for 3 nights and it really reminded me of an old fashioned hostel. Staff smiled and greeted us every time we entered. They were always pleasant and helpful whether it was booking a tour to Torres del Paine, storing our luggage, or with anything else we needed. I spend one night there in early November 2012 after returning from TDP. It is a little far to get to this hotel on foot especially when we are walking in the dark. You need to have a map to aget to this hotel if you are not taking a taxi. There are no shops nearby, but one little store.... More
