I arrived with four of my employees Tuesday 3-13-2017. The lobby was freezing cold and all the lights were off at 3 pm. It only got worse. I came to find out that the rooms haven't been updated in 10 years and boy does it show. Besides the carpet having all sorts of black stains the walls are cracked the wall paper is peeling all over the place and looks like it has black mold the bath tub had all sorts of black hairy things in it and the bed was as hard as a rock. I had my room changed 5 times till they could find me a suitable room with a decent bed. One of the rooms they put me in had a balcony right outside my window with the most vile disgusting trash strewn all over it I felt like vomiting just looking at it. The staff was accommodating but it's all probably very much outside of their control.

This former 5 star property is in very poor condition and clearly management doesn't know how to improve their service or doesn't care. Public areas are not heated (visit was January and it was close to 0C outside) and many areas have no lights turned on during the day. This is common in 2 -star hotels and apartment buildings but not major hotels. Room furniture was dated showing much wear. The carpet was filthy with so many stains it was shocking. I also had the displeasure of having 3 meals in their Dionysis restaurant. The first time the food was almost cold when served the unheated restaurant didn't help), the 2nd time the "lamb chops" I ordered turned out to be Mutton and half gristle & fat. Absolutely repulsive. This was rejected in favor of some won ton soup that was hardly better. Small Won Ton's disintegrated upon touch of a spoon. The 3rd time was with a group for the buffet. Staff had left all thee serving dishes open so everything was cold. We had planned to eat at the upscale Chinese restaurant but at 7:45 PM we were told that the chef was getting ready to go home and that we really should go to their other restaurant (Dionysis). Bottom line - This is a terrible hotel. It should be stripped of any western brand affiliation.

Stayed here for a fortnight in two different rooms. Note this hotel is geared for local Chinese and might meet their expectations of a supposed 4 star. -most beds are rock hard. Even my Chinese colleagues complained! Ask for one of the seven soft beds. -breakfast ok. -on site restaurant is poor/average. Go to the nearby Wanda plaza. -Carpets (restaurant and rooms) are stained and dirty, it's like they don't own a vacuum or steam cleaner. -Gym is sad and you walk through the restaurant to get there. -no in room safe -useless hairdryers, would struggle to blow candles out. -staff are nice and do try, but limited with English.

I stayed in this Hotel for 4 Nights. Nice property, pleasant Lobby, Comfortable, Large Rooms. Staff every smiling and courteous - but alas the level of English understanding is almost at Zero level. I wanted to check the gym timings - one girl asked another and then the third and fourth - tried to help but we just could not communicate. The Hot tub or Spa is an awesome experience - with around 22 herbal pools, said to cure specific ailments. Surprisingly, the gym and Spa operate from 12 noon till midnight. So, if you like a morning workout - SORRY ! The breakfast buffet has a reasonable spread - but EXACTLY the same menu for 4 days in a row - wish they had some imagination !

I stayed at Ramada Plaza Wuxi for a night with a tour group. The hotel is out of the city centre in a residential area. The bed is very hard thus my husband was unable to sleep. It was alright for me as I didn't mind a hard bed. There is a shopping complex about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. There is herbal spa available but I didn't enjoy spa. The breakfast was not good, very limited food and the food didn't taste very good. I will not stay here again if I have a choice.

Our tour group was placed in Block C, right at the back of the hotel. On entering the room, it seemed it was a smoking room. I complained about the smell of the room to the bellboy who was helping to settle the room opposite us. Later my husband discover a mouldy patch in the room. That could account for the stench. I could not sleep due to the unbearable stench so I got up & covered my nose with a nose mask. In future must carry a mini fragrance spray for travel. This is an unforgettable bad nightmarish experience. I rather have a clean smelling room in a tiny hotel than a smelly room in a so called 4 star hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel on mid-December, 2011 and with the following observations (believed stay at section C, the back section building, at the back of the central garden) : Upsides: - Cannot find one except I need to visit nearby place Downsides: - Ants/Insects on one of the bed in one room which we have two rooms, the first time I have this experience, represents very unclean, especially those areas cannot be seen, such as under the bed. - Breakfast: Very limited choice - The clock in the room running from non-moving to over fast, so don't use it - Bad maintenance, especially inside washroom, lighting starting want to coming down, so does the fan vent almost falling out in another room Conclusion: Large international hotel chain but bad management in this hotel, cannot classify as five stars, even under their own standard (non-international rating).

I stayed one night in March 2011 with a tour group. The rooms are nice, but the hotel is a few years old and not quite up to 5 star standard. The rooms are on the small side and the orchids on display in the lobby are fake. The business center computer was very slow. The access to the pool was up several stairs and everyone wanting to swim required a bathing cap.
