The only thing one may not like about this place is the fact you have to share dinner tables wioth other guests at dinner time. I was always hesitant and uncomfortable at first but every dinner shared wioth guests was very pleasant and i learned so much about other people. ALso, not many staff speak english so it def. helps... More

The location of this property is excellent - right on the beach in Cartagena. But don't expect to relax on the beach, because the vendors are so annoying. They will pester you endlessly and sit right up next to you to try to sell anything from sunglasses, to massages, braids, and drinks. They will not take 'no' for an answer,... More

We just got back for Decameron Cartagena..its a city hotel..clean and with a great location..but thats it..nothing fancy and a bit outdated. The staff is very friendly and the food is ok for an all inclusive. We took several tours and used Guianza Express..they were great!!! Walter was very well informed and even knew which were the best places to... More

Hotel was okay and the staff was friendly. The best breakfast or lunch you can get on pool restaurants buffet. There are three restaurants for dinner but if you are a vegeterian you have only one choice: Italian. But best thing in this hotel is the night show (and the dancing boys) LOL!!! More

we stayed here over easter only because we wanted to visit the Decameron in Isla Baru and they would only let us stay there if we booked an extra night. As we had to catch a flight early the next day our only option was to stay in Decameron Cartagena. We had heard bad comments about it from friends in... More

We spent two weeks in January 2012, the food was good. There are 4 restaurants for dinner wich we need to reserve the spot for any of them each day. For breakfast and lunch we don't have to. There is a variety of tropical fruits and food. The staff is frienly. Beautiful shows by the pool each night. Clean rooms.... More

More

The night atmosphere around the bar was probably my favorite part of Decameron Cartagena, although you'd be better off drinking in the Historic District. Since there are better places to stay walking distance from the bars in the historic district that leaves little reason to stay at Decameron Cartagena. My favorite is Casa Peter (polar opposite of Decameron Cartagena: apartment-like... More

cartagena colombia is a historical antique city with horse carriages and narrow streets and alot of culture built into the city. infact i have traveled all over colombia and i would def. say that cartagena and san andres island are the only two places i would walk at day and night and not have to look back worrying about any... I recently stayed in this hotel for a few nights in a family holiday. We had a 1 bedroom in the 17th floor with wonderful views of the ocean, the Old City and El Laguito. The room was great, however, the furniture was a little tired. I am not too picky so it was fine for me, but if you... More
