This place is relatively cheap (we payed $40 for a double room) and at a convenient location. However, I woudn't go back there. Members of staff were sometimes remarkably moody and some of the towels had holes and staines. Our shower was cold on most days because, as we were told, its warm enough outside. But when it's a bit... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after a major fiasco at Hotel Ninfa. THis hotel is very simple, but the owner is really nice and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean (try to get rooms on higher floors, they are more updated). The hotel is right across from a street filled with outdoor restaurants that serve... More

I stayed in Sir Frances Drake for two nights before heading to other islands. The hotel is OK overall. No breakfast is included and we had an OK nights sleep and the hot water is very good. However - - The room appeared to be very, very hot. There was a ceiling fan but it often started to rattle in... More

Walked in off the road and booked a room. Staff are friendly. The room, which cost $40, was clean and had the largest shower I had used in South America (although struggled to get hot water). Wifi was available outside the reception window, but nowhere to sit down, so had to sit on the steps. The hotel is a 3... More

The rooms vary considerably from dark and dank to bright and fresh. We stayed here after finding the Ninfa Hotel intolerable. Although no English is spoken, the owner is exceedingly friendly. She allowed us to preview rooms and change them when we found the ground floor toilets to not flush properly. Great location just a stroll from the waterfront and... More

The two windows in the room didn't have much of a view, but the place was immaculately clean and the staff was friendly. The room was air-conditioned and everything worked well. I would recommend it to anyone passing through this town. I also lost a ring in the room and the owners of the hotel were very helpful. They helped... More

Rested here for 2 nights after our adventurous cruise on the Anahi Catamaran around the Galapagos Islands. Fanny, the friendly owner, had a few rooms available & allowed us to see them before choosing. The prices varied slightly by room. The cheaper rooms being smaller with less light. She helped us with information relating to the town, tours, & getting... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during our galapagos trip, from where we started our daily tours. The hotel is near the harbour and the center of pierto ayora. The rooms were clean, but very dark. The staff can only speak spanish and was sometimes not very helpful.

Stayed for 1 night, room we were given was not clean, sheets were totally disgusting. Cheap and in a good location 2 min walk from the port. You can haggle the price for the room, she wanted $50 for a double but managed to get her down to $30.

We checked in at this hotel after 'fleeing' from a 'red-ant-owned' room in another hotel. And we found what we needed, a clean room with a comfortable bed and a working shower. Wi-Fi works pretty good, too. In our room, there was no AC, but no problem as it gets cool at night anyway. Coming from mainland Ecuador, the Galapagos... More
