The best Hotel in our India trip. Beautiful Garden for the breakfast or Lunch. No WiFi connection. The Internet site is in the front desk in reception. The hotel is located In the center of Fort Kochi. Fan and A/C in the room in a perfect zone. Clean Room but without bottle of water. Vey quite zone. Booked from Oriana... More

As another reviewer said: The building ozes of history! If the feeling of the great old times is more important than that everything is 100 % clean, modern, well functioning - this is the place for you. Room and bathroom had good size, but show their age, and it is a little bit smelly. Rooms hae fan, TV, Teee/coffee making... More

The rooms they first gave us was sOOOO damp and smelled dusty that I could barely breath! So, we asked them to transfer us to another room in the second floor with a view to the garden. Room was not that spacious but the bathroom was big enough. The hotel is 400 yrs old Dutch Mansion that was converted into... More

this was our first stop in India and was a lovely welcome. The room was large - albeit with single beds and not one double. The reception was very helpful and friendly. The main garden area is lovely if a little bit scruffy, this could be made into a beautiful eating area with the trees all around but there were... More

The hotel just oozes history and is so well located in a quiet area, just a short walk from all the restaurants and the river front. This could be an excellent hotel if the staff were better trained in offering customer service. The garden area could be an excellent place to relax if only they had a few comfortable chairs,... Stayed here for three nights at the start of a 16 night trip to Kerala. Good location and friendly staff. The hotel is full of history but lacked a few things. I asked about the kettle that was in the hotel information but it never appeared nor did the universal plug. A tired hotel but if you remember that a... More

This hotel is ideally positioned within easy walking distance of the sea front of Fort Cochin and the chinese fishing nets. It has been thoughtfully turned into a hotel that retains many of the old features. The staff were most helpful, the food was good. The hotel was clean and our room well equiped. More

After a long flight my husband and I arrived here in the early hours of the morning. We went straight to bed but I couldnt sleep - the room was so dingy, there was a smell of urine, the sheets were too small for the matress and there wasnt any drinking water provided - when I asked the porter I... Superb location in the centre of Fort Cochin, but what a disappointing end to an amazing tour of Southern India at this hotel. The room that we were allocated was large, but so dull and drab with inadequate lighting. The room and bedding was clean. There was a trickle of water from a shower attachment that was luke warm. The so... More

we found this an excellent hotel with very helpful staff and very comfortable hotel with air conditioned bedrooms, especially after a 10day dusty tour of kerala and tamil nadu. We didn't have our evening meals at the hotel because there is such a good choice of local restaurants close by. I would strongly recommend the hotel. (I hope the couple... More
