This is a beautiful property. It's well located and the structure itself is lovely; I was obsessed with the gorgeous dark wood floors, always perfectly clean. Our room was on the second floor in the back with a private screened veranda and we could have spent days there with our books, looking up occasionally at the water and walkers. Ample... More

If you want to live in this hotel is only on the second floor. Ground floor - a lot of noise from the street when walking upstairs neighbor, walking on the creaky stairs. Musty towels and terrible breakfast (one overlooking the sea will not be full). Kitchen (room service) is delicious and expensive .. But the stuff smiling and attentive. More

Wonderful place to start morning, lovely view from breakfast room looking out to sea. We prefer an Indian breakfast which was included and consistently good quality. All staff were warm and hepful. Wi fi availability free was almost out of our room range but was handy. We could have stayed longer. Our room was across the road in day spa... More

The location is really great. Very central in fort Cohin making it walking distance to all the major sites...except that is for Jew town which is a short ride in a auto rickshaw. If you look carefully all the popular hotels on TA are well located so don't think this has a major advantage over the others. We stayed here... More

Poovath Heritage Hotel is one of the best and highly reputed hotel in fort kochin. Poovath is well known for its highest quality of rooms and service. This is very evident from the numerous reviews listed in Trip Advisor. We are very much disappointed to see this review which we feel that is not true especially regarding the quality of... More

Staff are fantastic, they can't do enough to make your holiday enjoyable. Rooms are massive, so clean, fresh and welcoming. Granted rooms are not cheap but worth every penny Hot water (unusual for India), Sheet and towels dry, and clean - changed every day and room service freshened our room after every time we visited it during the day. The location and the property itself are wonderful. We were only disappointed that our standard room (5294 INR) had only one small window towards the parking lot and was a longish room with no visual appeal. The bathroom however was nice and well equipped. Given the old wooden structure, the ceiling of our room made quite a lot of noise... More

We stayed here for the first two nights of our Kerala holiday and it proved to be a perfect place to stay. It overlooks the beach and is an easy walk into the main sights of Fort Kochi. The pool is delightful and the restaurant seemed to serve food whenever you wanted and provided a good breakfast and dinner if... More

Marvelously clean-smelling sheets and comfortable bed. Claw foot bathtub, which was a welcomed decadence. Quietest place we've been in India. Attentive and warm staff. Good food from the restaurant. Beautiful grounds just and just a stone's throw from the sea. Sparkling pool. Easy walk to shops, etc, and close to David Hall art gallery, where we found our best tasting... More

Nice, clean hotel, just off hustle and bustle. Next door to Dutch cemetery. Two minute walk to chinese fishing nets, but in a nice peaceful location. Beuriful view from restaurant. Unfortunately our downstairs room had darkened window which opened up to inside corridor, so we could not open it. Therefore our room was totally dark. Ask for an upstairs room!... More
