Just by chance we found this wonderful garden retreat in Kumily. The location can be easily reached by rickshaw or on foot outside the center and is situated in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom was tidy with hot water. Claus and Umana are very friendly and helpful landlords. We had a great... More

We stayed at Claus Garden for 3 nights and my husband was delighted with the breakfasts...homemade bread and pancakes! It was a welcome change from curries and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were clean and comfortable, we loved the décor too. Town was only a short walk away and we enjoyed the restaurant Omana recommended, much better than the... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. A lovely house with spacious rooms, and clean tap water. Lots of outdoor space to mooch about and enjoy the beautiful garden. Claus and his wife are very helpful, and the breakfast they made was superb (home-made bread, home-made peanut butter, home-made coffee...). Sitting in the garden we observed a number of birds and... Absolutely beautiful house with a superb garden. You can spend days sitting on the verandas / balconies / huge roof / garden just absorbing the beauty. So relaxing. Having safe drinking water and solar powered hot showers is also nice. Claus and Omana are very friendly, and provide an excellent breakfast. Easily the best place I have stayed.

My husband and I had a very relaxing stay here. The room was large and clean and decorated thoughtfully. The mosquito net over the bed was useful (kept out a few pesky mossies). Plenty of hot water. The location is perfect, just a short walk away from noisy Kumily. The lush and colourful gardens are also a drawcard. The price... More

LOCATION 9/10 This homestay is located just uphill from the center of Kumily. It's about a 10 minute walk or a 30 to 40 Rupee Rickshaw ride. The great advantage is that up here it's super quiet, perfect to relax - especially in the garden. ROOMS 8/10 Our room was large, with a good bed and mozzie net, which wasn't... More

Very clean and comfortable, very kind and helpful owners, lovely garden, quiet spot surrounded by enchanting pepper plantations.
