Very friendly staff, clean rooms and provide tea twice daily (with biscuits in the afternoon!). Is a five minute walk from the northern bluff and the temple. Very pretty gardens. The owner let us sleep five in a room - which was great when travelling on a budget.

Climate in Kerala during October to June is very refreshing and rejuvenating auspicious places, in Varkala are Sivagiri Hills and Janardhana Swami Temple. Varkala is a nature’s bounty surrendered by backwaters, lakes and coconut groves.
My partner and I stayed here for 2 weeks! We were looking for a place we could cater ourselves so the owner fitted us out with a stove and refrigerator. It's not on the Varkala beach strip, but is a 10 min walk away, and near the supermarket too. A good place to unwind after long travels. Includes TV.
