Sher Bagh was the wild card on our tour of Rajasthan. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Slightly off the beaten track of Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, we arrived by train and were met by a uniformed driver with an elegant, liveried, jeep. We knew at once that this was going to be special. All... More

My family were visiting India and this would also be my first tiger safari so I wanted it to be special and Sher Bagh did not disappoint. I echo all the good things other reviewers have written. What makes the experience is mostly definitely the setting and the staff. Everyone goes that extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful... More

Staying at Sher Bagh was a truly unforgettable experience! I was lucky enough to stay there a couple of weeks ago for 4 nights, the comfort of the tent, combined with the excellent food and service was exactly the relaxation I needed, coupled with 5 tiger sightings in Ranthambore - I really couldn't have asked for more! The minute you... More

We arrived at Sher Bagh exhausted from a 10-hour road trip and were met by Alessandra, the manager, and her team with cool lemonade and warm wet towels. The tents were luxurious, huge bedroom and bathroom with endless hot water and furnished in Edwardian style. Drinks and dinner were held around a roaring campfire under the stars. A 'chai wallah'... The personal attention to detail at this camp is truly amazing, right down to a Butler Button in your tent! I can't describe how wonderful this camp is, the tents are luxury and the outdoor dining around the camp fire at night is magical. All the staff were lovely and the service was perfect. Every time you came back from... More

Staying at Sher Bagh for three nights was a terrific experience. The safaris in the mornings and afternoons are probably the highlights and if you get to see the tigers it becomes and unforgettable experience, but everything about the place is great from the tents, comfortable and modern but still a little rugged, to the meals, continental and Indian some... I consider myself as an extensive traveler especially looking for wildlife wherever it can be on the planet. Africa is often considered as the place to be and I agree that it is rather difficult to top (especially for the quality of wildlife encounters and the accomodations that you can find). Still, India has a lot to offer and a... More

Service was top notch. Loved the little touches like hot water bottles in our bed at night and on the morning game drives, the tea welcome at the train station, the champagne welcome when we got to the hotel. The campfires are so much fun to have dinner around. Although it's buffet, it's very good, with vegetables from their on-site... More

We spent two nights here and everything from the warm welcome, the hot water bottles on the early morning game drives, the massages in the evenings and the picnic on departure was just perfect. I can't fault it in any way and would love to have stayed longer. More

Nine years ago we stayed here and loved it. Now it has changed hands (although the manager, Usha, has set up a place next and we went to visit her) and some things have changed. It has air conditioning in the tents and the beds are not as lumpy. It has a restaurant tent, which is lovely and a sitting... More
