This is my second visit to the hotel.Nothing has changed much.They have recently done some renovations and added a lift.Main reason to re visit this hotel is the location,food,and staff behaviour.They really care for their guest's and that's what make them special in ooty.There was power interruptions at the day time and they immediately switched on the generator.

Good location, close to some good restaurants and taxi stand. Hotel amenities were good. Hot water was availability was also very good. Started to install their generator at 10:45 PM.

1. Food was too overpriced and horrible. Chappatis were tasting sour. 2. Rooms and bathrooms were not clean. The carpets in super deluxe rooms were not clean. 3. The delux room looks like a room from a lodge. 4. There was a powercut and we were sitting in the dark for 1 hour after which we went out.

I selected this hotel because all other hotels in Ooty had some negative points, the Alakapuri got mostly positive reviews and the location seemed convenient. we were in ooty in last september. we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. staff was very nice. room service was very good. food in restaurent was good. food & room rates were very reasonable. manager & floor attendent were very co-operative. they made our stay very comfortable.

We stayed here for a day and the experience was very good. In fact we recieved a very warm and cordial service from the staff during the saty. The food service was good. The staff was very helpful in guiding our routes for visits. Would like to stay here whenever visitng Ootty
