It looks good on paper , BUT the reality is it is very average I say this because I have stayed at may places in Bali over 25 years. The pool in both places were cloudy and the room on the third floor on Padma Street was spoiled by the glass in the door that let the hall lighting in at night, also the rooms really need an update. The staff were fantastic from Kadek at reception to the cleaner , yes it's cheap for a reason.

This was the most disapointing hotel with regards to cleanliness and management service ( Even for a budget stay ). Paid for breakfasts online before leaving but refused this as they said we were not on their list. Requested twin beds online but ended up with double. Sheets didn't even tuck so pretty uncomfortable sleeping tangled in bedcoverings. Bathroom mouldy and dusty with nowhere to hang a towel or hang clean clothes. Booked out and stayed at the Melasti instead. Same price, better hotel.

Hotel of choice if on budget, I have been to Bali many times done everything just wanted a clean room and bed to sleep in. For $20 a night you honestly can’t go wrong. We eat out everyday so don’t have brekkie in hotel but looked basic, mind you we had the seafood bbq night and wow impressed with freshness and taste. Staff are amazing I love how genuine everyone is, We stayed in a second floor and ground floor deluxe room and both great, only issue was a little mould in bathroom which was under the silicone in the corners but bathroom was clean, I tried the clean it but without scraping silicone off you couldn’t.

8 lads stayed here for 5 nights. At less than $30pppn we were not expecting much at all. All we wanted was, comfortable bed (tick), Clean room (tick, made up daily, with 2 free bottles of water and clean towels each day), Shower (tick, water pressure wasn't too bad), Fridge (tick), Cold Air Con (tick for me, however 3 of the lads said theirs did not get cold), a pool (tick, very deep one end 2.4m and the section next to the bar was perfect for their lethal Long Island ice teas). All staff I came across were friendly and extremely helpful, especially all the bar staff who were more than interested in finding out about each and everyone who came and sat there for a drink. Drink prices were reasonable, I would not say cheap but I would not say expensive ($4.50 after ++ for a Bintang Crystal, $10 for the above mentioned Long Island Ice Tea, $3 for the freshly blended fruit juices). I opted for the buffet breakfast on my last morning as I did not want to venture too far as I still had packing to do, it was cold and the selection was limited, however I put this down to it being close to finishing time and I'm pretty sure it was $5, so I cannot complain too much. Location was absolutely fantastic and we really could not ask for a better spot in the Legian area. If I was to repeat this type of trip again and come back to the same area I would definitely stay here again.

I always stay here and have done for the last 5 bali trips but not next year last visit staff downstairs in bar drinking all night with young guests no respect for other guests as they were intoxicated most nights they know who they are and they shouldn’t be in charge of the rest of staff leading a bad example so sorry Legian not coming back

The best quality of this hotel is it’s great location…short walk to the beach, bars, places to eat & shops. They say you pay for what you get but even at this price there’s lots of better quality places to stay!!! I booked a deluxe room & there wasn’t much that stood out that it was deluxe, I’d hate to see the standard rooms!! The balcony was so tiny & offered zero privacy as they had no walls & other rooms looked directly at it. The shower was like a little trickle coming out it was virtually a waste of time. The only reason I’d stay here again would be if everything is sold out & it was the last available. I would recommend paying a tiny bit extra to get a lot better standard elsewhere rather than stay here.

The three main things going for Legian Village Hotel are: 1. It’s super cheap with a good breakfast 2. The restaurant has excellent food (great Gado Gado and chicken skewers!) 3. Has a great pool but also close to Legian Beach This is our third time as a family with three x children staying here and it’s a great cost effective way to start and end your trip (we like to go to a few other places in between).

We booked a poolside room at JONI 2 in garlic lane. The pool was green when we arrived, when I complained I was told that I could swim in the main hotel pool. ( that defeats the purpose of having a poolside room at a different hotel) it got cleaned about 4 days later. This was the filthiest place I have ever stayed in Bali. The bathroom & toilet have not been cleaned in years. The bathroom smelled like a sewer, the mould & scum was disgusting. We paid 3 weeks in advance and when we complained about the smell & filth, the hotel sent a maintenance man, who just sprayed with air freshener. No cleaning was done. The reception staff didn't care and wouldn't refund us. Their excuse was that they are renovating. There wasn't any renovating at Joni 2. I know it's a budget hotel, but that is no excuse for not cleaning. We poured bleach over the drain, toilet & bath. But because of the smell, mould & scum, we couldn't stay there. We had to find & pay for accommodation elsewhere. But we kept the room as a storage type room. Every day we would put the 'please clean the room sign on the door, but the toilet/ bathroom was never cleaned in the 3 weeks. The towels smelled like they had been washed in a dirty creek. It's very hard to believe that the staff think this is acceptable. It was disease ridden. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. No excuse for filth & laziness. Legian Village hotel should be ashamed of themselves.

This is not the first time i had stayed at the Legian Village Hotel and certainly will not be the last!!! Every single staff member i spoke with made me feel like part of the family by the warmth and welcome. I had a mishap with my wallet whilst staying there and the staff looked after me with food and drink whilst i sorted the issue out and being travelling solo i cannot express my gratitude more.

Convenient and comfortable enough for a stopover for a couple of nights. It was $20AUD a night. Nothing to complain about, everything worked and the location was very good. i would most likely stay again for budget stopover. the bar set up was great for watching world cup games.
