Made and Kadek are very caring people and will help with anything you need or want. We stayed for 3 nights the first time and when I got sick on the final morning, Made and Kadek were right there to give me medication and take me to the doctor. We didn't want to travel out of town to our next... More

We stayed four nights at Jangkrik in May 2013. Of course for 200,000 rph/night including breakfast, one should not expect much. The family was warm, friendly, helpful, and attentive (arranging and even giving us rides, helping with bug bites, warning us from overspending, etc.). The breakfast was way better than I expected (omelets with toast and fruit and coffee, for... More

The Jangkrik homestay is a really nice location in the middle of Ubud. Although it is very central, it's quiet (except when they are doinge maintenaince work). You don't hear anything from the street. If you wan't to, you get into the familylife of that homestayfamily. The rooms are very cozy and clean, but one day I asked to get my... More

At $15/night including nice breakfast for 2, couldn't beat it. Fan and bed were a little noisy, and it does get hot even at night, but it's very quiet, central, owners are friendly and helpful. Great deal in Ubud.

We were here for 2 nights and if anyone is going to Ubud, I hardly recommand this place. The breakfast is better than in most restaurants, there is also hot water and free wi fi. All this for very reasonable price!

We stayed here for a total of 7 nights and were really pleased. The location (it's on jalan hanoman) is great, and it's amazing value. The owners are really friendly and more than happy to help, and the included breakfast is really tasty. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated rooms. No air con so it can be hot at night but... More

I can't recommend this place enough. The location is great on Hanuman street, walking distance from the Monkey Forest as well as the market. It's set back off the road and run the wonderful Made and Kadek. They are friendly, very helpful and can organize day trips and cabs as needed. They organized a day trip for myself and a... More

We enjoyed three seperate stays at Jangkrik during February and March 2013. The room is fantastic value. Only 150,000 for a double room with hot water, great wifi and a extremely tasty pancake breakfast. The homestay is in walking distance of a number of very good restaurants and a 20 minute walk from the main street. Some people may think... More

I stayed at Jangkrik with friends this month and enjoyed my stay. The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. Made and Kadek and their family were nice and helpful. The breakfast was great and it was small and cozy. We also arranged for transportation to other areas in Balli and were able to do so easily at Jangkrik.

Sadly I was only in Ubud for 2 nights but thanks to a great recommendation I was told to stay here & that suggestion was a very good one! Made & Kadek & their family were so lovely, kind and friendly. You weren't just another guest filling up a room. Your a person that they want to get to know.... More
