I have stayed at Ananda Cottages just outside Ubud many times since 1978 and even though it has grown over the years I always like to come back. Excellent accommodation with beautifully crafted rooms in beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, access to two wonderful pools and of course the great walks out the back. There really is nothing bad... More

I am just finishing up a one week stay at Ananda Cottages in Ubud. For various reasons (none due the hotel), I've been in 3 different rooms - one good, one average, one poor. I'd suggest asking to you see your room before check in. Ananda is split in two. The rooms in the further section seem to be nicer... More

lovely peaceful location and beautiful property a little bit (20min walk) from the town. the pool by the rice field was out of order and the pools&chairs not so well looked after. nice breakfast. wifi at reception. do try the "sister spa hotel" with free shuttle. especially lovely in the sunset. the yoga and walks were grazily highly priced but... I love Ananda and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Although its out of town I love being away from the hustle and bustle. It's so quiet and the views are breathtaking. I love the rooms and particularly the outdoor shower. With three pools to choose from you practically have a pool to yourself. The food is good for the price. We... More

Great property with 3 pools and surrounded with rice fields. Stayed 2 nights in room 19. Had a shower / bathroom outside which was lovely, although not ideal for whoever doesn't like wildlife... had loads of geckos & frogs around! The bed is big and very very comfortable & nice patio to relax and enjoy the views. We had people... More

I had originally booked to stay at Hotel Tjampuhan Spa but when I got there my room was being renovated so the Management arranged for me to get an airconditioned room at Ananda cottages. This turned out to be very pleasant. I had a lovely airconditioned room which was good value for the price (about $AUD 85) with a long... More

My husband and I stayed in Villa A for 9 days. We loved it! The room was large, clean and had a mosquito net, a/c and a lovely balcony over looking the rice paddies. If you have a hammock, bring a rope and put it on the balcony. We did and it was great!! We loved staying in our room.... More

After couple of days at noisy Kuta beach, it was nice to get up to the lovely town of Ubud. Ananda Cottages was the exact place i was looking for, nice cottages in balinese style..I stayed in one of their bungalows with big verandah and open-air bathroom (I had some snails and frogs there!). Outside there was 3 swimmingpool around... More

I stayed here for 7 nights as part of a course. The setting is beautiful amongst the rice fields and the gardens are really lovely. The staff are kind and welcoming and breakfast in the restaurant was good. However, we pre booked a superior room and they put us in a standard room and we didn't work out the difference... More

Ananda cottages provided my heart and soul tranquility while allowing me to be close to the pulse and vibrancy of Ubud. This Bali enclave does an excellent job of living up to a 3 star property and should receive top marks for providing what it is suppose to provide. The staff delivers service that in many parts of the world... More
